The Cabin is a remote 1958 original homestead cabin that is 100% solar powered that is located 20 mins from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and about 15 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree, CA. This is a place for dreamers to reset, reflect, and create. Designed with a slow pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making coffee by drip in the morning, choosing the perfect record to put on, or by being surrounded by open views, wildlife, and a starry sky.

Welcome to DTJT (Downtown Joshua Tree) your much needed High Desert escape. Our newly renovated homestead cabins rest on five acres of magical landscape. At DTJT you can swim in the 50' salt water pool, soak in the hot tub, hang by the firepit, hike, bbq, rekindle, stay up, sleep in, stargaze, explore, namaste it up, dance it off, soak up the sun, howl at the moon, listen to the owl, feed the roadrunner, take an outdoor shower, crush it at corn-hole, and yes, we have Wifi and cell service.

Bathrooms were remodeled in 2023 and the kitchen in 2025!

Within walking distance from the center of town, it's perfectly situated on a quiet street amongst the trees, buzzing with blue jays and hummingbirds. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or have a spa-like soak after hitting the nearby trails. As a creative couple ourselves, we designed this space for romantic getaways and creative retreats.

This cabin was reimagined for those looking to reset and reconnect to their wildish nature.
