Nestled in the rolling hills of northeast Iowa in the quiet village of St. Donatus, the Gehlen House offers year-round accommodations for calming getaways and/or family fun. The property is on the National Register of Historical Places. Diekirch is one of six private bedrooms with shared kitchen and living room space. Guests can book single rooms or the whole house. We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.

One Orange Centre is a 25 acre estate with 5907 square foot home designed by John McEwan and Robert Rodriguez, both students of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose influence is obvious in every detail of this house. The construction of the house is primarily native limestone with California Redwood ceilings. The living room features 20 foot ceilings
