The revamped home features a gated private entry walkway, garden, a blend of contemporary and antique furnishings, and a bright open-plan lounge space. The cottage was once the horse stables and care-takers cottage for a nearby plantation. We lovingly renovated it into a two bedroom guesthouse in 2017. It's accessed through a private gated entrance and an 80 foot long landscaped pathway to the front door. With a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and private entrance, its perfect for long term guests and is kid friendly. The guest house is equipped with high speed WI-FI internet, washer & dryer, and a well supplied kitchen. Please let us know how we can make your stay more comfortable. The home is in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants, shops, banks, a small grocery store, movie theater, and the streetcar. Convenient access to all parts of the city with its iconic sights and sounds. Located one mile from Tulane and Loyola. The St. Charles Avenue streetcar line is three blocks away which gives you direct access to all of uptown and downtown via a 13.2 mile stretch of streetcar tracks.
