The tranquility of this cabin comes not only from its location, but also from its position in time, contrasting the ever evolving modernity of the capital city. With an ocean view outhouse, a warm outdoor shower (April-Oct), electricity, and WiFi, this cabin provides the ideal balance of simple living and modern amenities.

Waterfront Wonder

Right on the water! Offstreet parking with 50 steps down to the front door. Sit on the deck above the water and watch spectacular sunsets over the Chilkat Mtn Range. The space will accommodate two couples or a family of six. Wonderful covered deck with grill and outdoor dining. Totally possible to see humpback whales, orca, seals, sea lions, waterfowl, river otters, harbor porpoises, kingfishers, eagles and bear while sitting on the deck or looking out the window. Family friendly & work space.

Our Point of View

Escape to a place with breathtaking glacier and mountain views that is only 20 min from downtown but feels worlds away. This cozy 1 BR 1 Bath apartment attached to the back of our home, includes a queen bed as well as a queen pull out sofa bed. It resides in a quiet neighborhood 5 min from the glacier & is the gateway to outdoor exploring with incredible views right off the deck and many other trails close by. Come see Our Point of View while having a private and solitary space all to yourself.

Eagle’s Nest

Relax in this 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with a full laundry. Enjoy riverfront sunsets from the open-air covered deck, 25 feet above the ground. The bedroom has top/down, bottom/up black out window shades for a peaceful rest and there’s a sleeper sofa to accommodate up to 4 total guests. It’s just a few steps to the river, or take a stroll to the Mendenhall Wetlands trail, 300 yards from the doorstep, along a 3 mile trail maintained all year. The apartment is one of two on the top level.

River House: On Mendenhall River/Glacier(4 min dr)

We love our place on the Mendenhall River! Eagles, bears, deer, porcupine, and otters are common sights in the backyard while the soft rush of the glacier-fed stream provides a soothing background. We are located in the upper Mendenhall Valley, just a 5 minute drive from the Mendenhall Glacier & 3 minute walk to the Brotherhood Bridge trail which takes you into deep old forest almost immediately. The river is ever changing and always beautiful & peaceful. We are available, but don’t intrude.

Home on the Bluff with Ocean View Hot Tub

Enjoy this spacious and unique space while watching whales, sea lions, and eagles in their natural habitat. This stunning property is located in the middle of the best trailheads and whale watching in Juneau. This property has two futons, one downstairs in the living room, and one upstairs in the loft. Things to note: The property is only accessible by a flight of outdoor stairs. The fireplace is unfortunately not in use. There is beach access from nearby trails, but not from the property.

Waterfront Townhouse - The Humble Halibut

Relax with the whole family at our Alaskan Beachfront villa. It has the best views in all of Juneau! 20 min drive to Eagle Crest Ski resort! Minutes from the harbor! Go fishing & head home with a freezer full of Halibut and Salmon! Deep freezer in the Unit! Holds a couple hundred lbs of fish or game. Fully stocked Kitchen Propane grill Coffee Bar Privacy curtains / blackout Smart TV Extra Blankets This unit is waterfront and has stairs. Not ideal for guests with mobility challenges.

AKNS Ocean View Room

The AKNS Ocean View Room is a 400 square foot studio. It includes a queen bed, a kitchenette with a small refrigerator & microwave, and a small table with 2 chairs. Wireless internet is included along with a smart HD streaming TV (no subscriptions). The bathroom has a tiled shower, towels & a hairdryer. It has a spectacular view of the ocean and our gardens. Its own entrance is down a short boardwalk from your off-street parking with easy access to the beach and our beach-front gazebo.

Mountain N' Shore Chalet

This waterfront chalet has breathtaking views, majestic mountains, the Northern Lights, Cruise Ships and the Gastineau Chanel. Enjoying this home is easy from the big picturesque windows, wrap around deck, claw foot bath tub, walk in shower, huge master bedroom, viewing loft and rustic but modern interior. This home has a special featured display case enclosed is Alaskan hand made pieces and descriptions along with Alaskan books on the shelf in the viewing loft to enjoy.
