Bookbinder's Retreat is small self-contained studio, situated adjacent to the main house. Whilst in the town, the property has a rural outlook over the Public Gardens, and a secluded feel. I have enjoyed creating the space on a small budget over a long time. Travellers seem to appreciate the craftsman like quirkiness of the space which reflects the town.

Relax on the veranda or visit interesting shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, and the supermarket, just a 10 minute walk away with the stadium being a ten minute drive. Shag Point Retreat offers private gardens, a unique base for exploring and also a quiet respite “off the beaten track”. Close by a wide sweeping sandy bay. Or head to the Conservation reserve, a 10 minute walk - coastal views, seals and bird life abounds.

The Lookout

The Lookout is a luxurious self contained small house with wonderful harbour views and a rural back drop. Only 18 mins from Dunedin and 2 mins from Port Chalmers cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. The Lookout has an open living space including the kitchen. A compact bathroom and mezzanine bedroom with breathtaking views. We have a large veranda to enjoy the sunshine and a BBQ. It’s only a 5 minute walk from Hampden Beach, shops, cafes and local tavern. Just a 5 minutes drive to the Moeraki Boulders or a 20 minute walk along the beach. We are only a 25 minute drive south of Oamaru and 50 minutes north of Dunedin.
