Our home & 4 yr old fully self-contained cottage is on a 0.9 hectare (2.3 acre) "lifestyle" property in the country but is only 5 mins drive from the University and 4 local schools, our local supermarket, post office and food outlets. We are also 15 mins drive from Hamilton central business district (CBD), the Hospital and Wintec in one direction and the Airport in the other direction. We do NOT charge separate cleaning fees (NB when comparing), offer a 25% discount for 1 week, 35% per month.

Kahurangi Cottage Holiday Accommodation

Escape the hustle and bustle; relax and unwind in the sleepy harbour town of Kawhia. An easy 2.5 hr drive from Auckland. Kahurangi cottage is the perfect accommodation in Kawhia from which to explore the area. You can drive to Waitomo caves in 1.5 hrs away along a scenic, winding road. Ocean beach is 5 km away, where you can soak in Te Puia hot springs at low tide. Kawhia is known for its annual Kai festival on Waitangi weekend and whaleboat racing on New Year's day.

Unwind and enjoy being close to town, surf, and everything Whāingaroa-Raglan has on offer. Watch the sunset from the deck, cozy up in front of the fire, chill out in a vintage-styled space or grab a flat white from the cafe from around the corner before wandering down to the harbour. The perfect surfer’s retreat on the west side of the one-way bridge, just a quick drive to Whale Bay. A great spot for kids! And pets are welcome!

Perfect for two, with a sofa bed for extra guests or budget stays. Located beneath our home with private entry — you might hear our young kids (3 & 4) or our friendly lab Max during the day, but evenings are peaceful from 7 pm – 7 am.
