The Stables

Since converting our old stables it has been very popular with people visiting York and Harrogate which are both 20 minutes away.We are lucky to have some lovely local pubs/ restaurants in the nearby villages (10mins away) Within half an hour you can be in the Dales or the Yorkshire Moors - walking, visiting a National Trust property, or sampling a local pub or tearoom. The Stables are clean, cosy and comfortable, with modern, light rooms. The views overlook farmland - beautiful in the evenings.

This private annexe at Gowlands Farm House is located just off the A59, 8 miles from York and 14 miles from Harrogate, it makes an ideal base for visiting the nearby towns, cities and countryside that North Yorkshire has to offer. York Park and Ride is located 5 miles away. The North York Moors and Coast, together with the Dales, are accessible as an alternative day out. The brick-built annexe is detached from the main house allowing privacy and a large garden area for dogs to enjoy.

It is a renovated former 1800's stable block which has retained it original charm. Skipbridge Farm is approx 20 minutes from York city centre, we are also located close to Poppleton Bar park and ride. Green Hammerton is five minutes away and has a lovely local pub that serves food. There is also a Chinese take away just up the road from the farm.

Parking is available outside the cottage, and the train station is a mile away. Whixley has an excellent local pub The Anchor Inn , other local eating establishments are within easy driving distance. Generous discounts are on offer for long term let’s (28day or more .) Please note that charging points are not available to charge electric cars .
