Existem várias praias de areia em redor, uma cascata e uma piscina natural a 5 minutos a pé e um trilho pedestre com uma paisagem deslumbrante. This typical fully remodeled house is located on the north coast of São Miguel Island, in Porto Formoso. It has a large terrace with a wonderful front view of the sea. Moinhos Beach is a 10-minute walk away and the village of Porto Formoso is 15 minutes away. There are two restaurants in the immediate vicinity, the city of Ribeira Grande - 10 km away - has a supermarket and many other shops. Several tourist attractions nearby (Furnas, Santa Bárbara Beach, Gorreana Tea).

Casa do Pico Arde belongs to our family for over 200 years and was restored and adapted for tourism purposes, in the form of a "Villa". The house has magnificent rural arquitectural characteristics from the 17th and 18th centuries and its location means easy access to several points of attraction in the island as well as amazing and peaceful views over the both sea and mountain.
