The simple, yet upscale layout, is comforting on the eyes & mind. Its adventurous setting, fitted with its unparalleled views, will conjure up excitement when you arrive. A boulder-studded wall rises up towards a stone walkway, which is fitted with an integrated fire pit. The outdoor hot tub & seasonal outdoor shower are located next to the cottage deck.

The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

Bear Paw Cottages are nestled along the shores of Lake Ainslie, Nova Scotia’s largest freshwater lake. Our comfortable cottages afford wooded beauty and seclusion with the largest private natural beach on West Lake Ainslie. Only 15 minutes from amenities, golfing, whale watching, and much more. With a private beach and large firepit, groups and motorcycles are welcome. We participate in the Clean it Right program as well as being provincially inspected.

Glamping off the Beaton Path (AD #2)

Glamping is a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping. Communal washrooms and a shower are located in a separate building; there is also an area for washing dishes. The facility is off the power grid, so solar power is used for lightning. It's not the only reason but once you've experienced a stress free day at the beach, you will be enticed to return for another dip in the warm coastal waters or the fresh water stream that runs into them.
