This building is over 100 years old and still have the original charm of the century with the necessary updates for conmfort. We are excited to share this beauty with guests! Situated on a private acreage within Whiterock Conservancy, guests can easily access 40mi+ of scenic hiking and mountain biking trails, float the nearby river, or enjoy dark sky viewing. A "rookery" is a nesting site for herons, a bird that prefers quiet, undisturbed habitat near water. And so the Rookery Cottage seeks to provide a natural escape from the daily grind.

Just a mile from Seven Oaks Recreation Area! 5 miles west of Boone just off Highway 30, this cute and cozy space offers upscale privacy on a wooded lot within 30 minutes of Ames and 50 minutes from Des Moines. This is a guest house on the same lot as the owners, so pride of ownership abounds. It was originally built for the owners' parents and is universally accessible including extra wide doors, fully accessible kitchen and roll-in shower.

I welcome guests to a safe quiet neighborhood. This is a cape cod style home with Bedroom 1 on main level and Bedroom 2 on second floor. Please note, there is no bathroom on the second floor. The kitchen, dining area, full bath and comfortable living room are also on main level. The laundry and additional 3/4 bath are located in basement. I do not charge a cleaning fee at this time.
