Stargaze in the hammock by campfire, Grill dinner, check out local tide charts to float in canoe or kayak on the Eastern river. Wood fired oven can be rented for additional fee.

Enjoy stunning sunsets over the mountains from the comfort of the couch, or while enjoying a game of pool in the game room!

Jewett Pond Retreat

Relax in the Western Maine Foothills at our cabin on Jewett Pond. The main cabin has 672 sq ft of finished living space with bedroom (queen bed), bathroom, basic kitchen, great room (queen sleeper sofa), and screened porch. There is an additional rustic bunkhouse with two twin beds. This space is ideal for a couple or adventurous family who enjoys swimming, canoeing, hiking, fishing, or sitting on the screened porch with a good book and pine forest backdrop. Canoe included with booking.

Step out of the screened in patio to lakeside relaxation. Dive into crystal waters, snorkel or float with a cool beverage. Kayak or canoe out to Turtle Cove and enjoy the wildlife in this natural waterway teeming with birds to include our resident Blue Heron, ducks, geese, and loons who make this place their home. We have the fortune of bald eagle pairs in several tall pines. Turtles sunning on doting rocks and lily pads in bloom greet us each day. It is a natural water landscape.

Writers Cabin in the Woods on Adams Pond

Nestled in the woods and on Adams Pond next to a small farm. The cabin feels totally hidden away but is less than 10 minutes to Bridgton and Naples, hiking, beaches and restaurants. The woods are beautiful and peaceful and the pond is just down a gorgeous mossy path. Great for couples or a weekend away. Large deck with grill and outdoor shower, firepit. There is a dock on the pond for swimming, fishing, or just enjoying the view as well as a canoe and 2 kayaks, and a paddle board!

Escape the lake region crowds on the calm water of Crystal Lake. Watch the sunset from the private waterfront/dock, kayak to take tour of the lake. Steps away from the center of Harrison and 2 boat launches, and only a short drive from downtown Bridgton. If you'd like a hike or bike instead, it's also a short drive to the mountains. Relax lakeside while your family enjoys the small beach, 2 kayaks, dock, or simply float about with a drink in hand. Note: waterfront across street

A refurbish 1967 knotty pine Cottage a short walk to lake and has lake rights. Located 400 feet from lake access. For swimming, FREE docking for your boat to fish, water ski or just cruise in Thompson lake. 14 miles one of Maines cleanest lakes. 6 Bicycles, 2- kayaks, 2-16 ft canoes, a 14 ft rowboat, and a paddle boat, fishing gear, firewood available for guest at no charge for fire pit. Propane and charcoal barbeques available at cottage. THERE IS NO WIFI.

Bailiwick Cottage is a cozy, private cottage that looks south down Freeport (Harraseeket) Harbor in Freeport, ME. It is a 4 season accommodation that is close to Freeport shopping, Portland eating, and the Adventure Schools of LL Bean. The cottage sits approximately 50 yards from our main house, has its own parking space and patio, and offers the ability to come and go as you wish. We have had 12 honeymoons in the cottage.
