You’re about 10 minutes from the beach and if you feel to go a bit further, you can turn left at the top of the road and follow till you come to a little cafe which sells 🍔, 🥪 and🥤. There’s free parking, where you can walk along the beach; enjoy the scenery; watch the boats go by and enjoy the peace.

Located on the edge of Oare marshes that is an important wetland reserve with a range of bird species. This area is popular with bird watches, walkers, wildlife photographers and cyclists or anyone who wants a relaxing break away surrounded by open countryside. There is plenty to do throughout the year wether you want coast, town or countryside it’s all in easy reach for your enjoyment.

A practical and comfortable base to enjoy Whitstable from.

The chalet is a ten minute walk from Shellness beach, and a 15 min walk to central Leysdown where you will find restaurants, arcades, pubs and fish and chips in abundance. We have a friendly, welcoming club house which serves food and entertainment for all the family. There is a Sunday boot fair and a regular bus service just outside the site. We provide complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries.
