The Property The cabin sits within walking distance of Fairy Lake and includes a fireplace, gas grill. The outside grounds include a picnic table, a patio with outdoor seating, an outdoor gas patio fireplace, a wood-burning fire pit, and a private hiking trail through an oak forest. Sleeping arrangements include a loft with two twin beds that can convert to a king (let us know before arrival), along with a queen sleeper sofa on the main level. Indoor amenities feature a 50” Roku TV, electric fireplace, air-conditioner, breakfast bar with seating, a welcome gift, and ceiling fan. The kitchen is stocked with cooking basics, a coffee maker, stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, filtered water, and full dishware and flatware. Our cabin is nestled in a wooded area & is very private. 15 minutes from 3 different towns with Wadena being the biggest. There's a queen bed on the main floor bedroom and a queen bed in the loft bedroom. WIFI/ cable television are available. Can sleep with the windows open or use the air conditioning. Outdoor pets are welcome, no pets inside please. You will have a view of the pond & we see deer on a daily basis. We will supply bedding, bath towels, cooking utensils, plates, cups & silverware.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Rizzy's On the Lake Oland Villa

Oland Villa, named after a small island and province just off the southeast coast of Sweden, is a two-bedroom, one-bath, dog-friendly unit offering a single full bed in one room and twin bunks in the other. The living room has a pullout sofa for additional sleeping space. Kitchens are fully stocked with basic cooking essentials and panoramic views of Lake Osakis. All units have central air and heat, all bedding linens, bath towels plus basic kitchen essentials are provided.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. A manager lives on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r."
