Mosswood Cabin - on the Manitoba Escarpment

Mosswood Cabin is a cozy (hygge, gezellig) 700 sq ft year-round cabin located on the Manitoba Escarpment. 8000 years ago, it was lakefront property on Glacial Lake Agassiz, now it’s 40 acres of gorgeous parkland forest, with a seasonal creek winding its way through a deep ravine, access to many kilometres of multi-use trails, and part of a regular raptor, songbird, and monarch migratory route. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, a bathroom, a wood stove, and an outbuilding electric sauna.

The Schist of Ravens Hollow

We welcome you to our adults only eco dome with in heat flooring, air conditioner and an electric fireplace. A beautiful deck looking out onto our own private lake. We offer a fully stocked kitchenette with a full sized fridge, hot plate, toaster oven and microwave. The washroom has a shower, toilet and sink/vanity. We provide towels. King sized bed on the main floor and a queen sized bed in the loft (you must be able to climb a ladder to access loft). We provide all the bedding.

(groomed cross country ski trails in winter) spend some time in the Organic pool & barrel sauna. On this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, and the stillness of nature.

PETE’S PLACE

Farm Cottage near Steep Rock. Cottage is 7 km (5 min drive) to the village of Steep Rock, and is a paved highway (currently under construction 2024) It's a great area for canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the lake, swimming and photography. Cottage has a deck with a BBQ, and a fire pit and hammocks in the yard. In Winter you can cross country ski or snowshoe on the property. Occasionally you can see the northern lights, generally in Winter. There is now also a sauna for guests.

This spacious, four-season, 3-bedroom open-concept bungalow is ideal for a vacation getaway with family and friends, or a snowmobile or ice-fishing trip. Enjoy the island vibe: Walk the beach, take your dog for a walk on the trail, or pour yourself a tall glass of wine and enjoy a glorious sunset on the deck. On colder evenings, cuddle up by the fireplace. If you want a little more, Gimli is less than a 10-minutes away with all of its charming shops, entertainment and restaurants.

Sleeps 8 (cozy for families). Drive up or explore Victoria Beach trails, beaches, or groomed ski paths. Cross-country ski rentals available. Enjoy winter activities like skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling, or summer fun at beaches, playgrounds, and the Village Green Bakery — all 5–10 min by bike.

Hello! We are Jamie and Kevin, owners of Lazy Days Lodge. The proceeds goes toward our non-profit, Peace For All of Us. We house youth aging out of care and female survivors of domestic violence. We have put a lot of effort into making the lodge feel family friendly with the comforts of home. There is a variety of sleeping, dining, and entertaining options. We promise the lodge will leave you with smiles and memories, regardless of the season or reason for gathering.
