Welcome to the Saltmarsh Cottage. The Cottage is newly built and offers fresh and comfortable accommodations. Located just a short walk from the Darien Waterfront, Wine Bar, and eateries, it is a perfect location for a short getaway or extended stay. Conveniently located to Brunswick, St. Simons and Jekyll Islands, the cottage is ideally located if you want to venture out of the charming town of Darien. With Primary on main, the cottage is equally comfortable for a couple or larger groups.

It is walking/bicycling distance from Downtown, Fort King George, Historic square, Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge (Great for wildlife photography) Parks and Waterfront also Restaurants and Shops. This house is a quiet recluse on the marsh and a tidal creek. It faces Sapelo Island and is close to St. Simons, Jekyll, and Savannah. Great for naturalists with a 1.5 acre fresh water pond for exotic birds and wildlife and near to the Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge. We have 2 double kayaks, a canoe, 8 bikes, a hot tub and a sky for stargazing. The well-equipped kitchen opens to the great room with bedrooms on each wing. Pets welcome and plenty of parking.

The home is one hour south of Savannah and 30 minutes to the lovely beaches of Jekyll and Sapelo Islands. This area is certainly a birder's paradise!
