We know you'll love everything the outdoors has to offer from Methven. The resort also has a spa pool, restaurant in peak season & tennis court.

This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. Beautiful native trees and birdsong surround your own peaceful, private, and quiet cottage and gardens. We have a star gazing area where you will be awed by the clear sky and see the Milky Way and all the constellations. Our Retreat Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, including a 3 pin EV charging port. Your hosts, Drew and Sally, will meet you and show you where you can browse the large vegetable gardens and orchard.

Country Cabin

The warm and cosy cabin is a self contained unit detached from the main house, with BBQ, private deck and restful native garden. You will have your own access/key and off road parking. Our place is great for couples. On navman route, we are 2 hours from Christchurch and 4 hours to Queenstown. Only 1 hour from Mt Hutt ski field and 1 hour from Mt Dobson ski field. Aoraki Mount Cook is 2 hours distance and Tekapo is 1 hour.

Middle Rock High Country Farmstay

A genuine NZ farm stay on a working sheep farm in the panoramic Lake Coleridge high country just 100kms west of Christchurch city. The Quarters sleep 8 in the main building and an additional 4 persons in 2 adjoining cabins. Beds are illustrated as Queens (in fact super-kings) but all rooms can be split to twin shares. Exclusive use to each group booking. Preference is given to larger groups at weekends.
