Learn the basics of skateboarding from me, a professional skateboarder, at this outdoor skate park in Boston. This family-friendly lesson is aimed at all skill levels. I recommend bringing your own equipment if possible—Orchard Skateshop is one good place to buy a new board. • You’ll get to know me and your fellow participants and share your experience level—if any. I’ll then lead a stretching and warmup session. • I’ll teach you the basics of skateboarding, including rolling on level ground and turning, before helping you learn how to ride down a small ramp. • Finally, I’ll answer any questions you have and make recommendations for continuing your skateboarding journey here in Boston or back at home. You’ll roll away with new skills and confidence—and maybe even a budding passion for skating.

Walk Your Way Through Boston's History

We will start our tour at the Lenox hotel in the heart of the Back Bay neighborhood, and will end at historic Faneuil Hall where there are endless places to eat and explore after the tour. Not only will we visit the famous Boston Freedom Trail, but also hidden treasures not covered on other tours. My tour runs approximately 2 1/2 hours. Unlike some other walking tours, I try to cover as much of Boston as possible. The walk is not fast paced, but we do cover about two miles. Wear comfortable shoes. The Back Bay - Explore one of Boston's most famous neighborhoods. Home to some of Boston's most beautiful buildings such as the Boston Public Library and the Trinity Church. Boston Public Garden - Visit the beautiful gardens, and say hello to the Swan Boats, and the Make Way for Ducklings statues! If you come during the right time of year, they may even be donning some accessories! Boston Common - Bask in the freedom of the oldest public park in the United States. Cheers Bar - Where everybody knows your name. Beacon Hill - View Boston's most historic neighborhood. Complete with original brick sidewalks and gas lanterns (you can thank some friendly 20th-century neighborhood rioters for those bricks). The New State House - Is as impressive as the political debates inside...we think.

Every Site on the Freedom Trail

See all 16 of Boston's Iconic Freedom Trail sites in a single 2.5 hour tour! Join the most comprehensive walking tour of the Freedom Trail available, and learn about icons like Paul Revere and John Hancock, along with lesser known stories of women, African Americans, and immigrant patriots and pioneers. Rebels, gangs, Midnight Riders (and a few cheap dad jokes) all feature in the tales on this tour. Tour goers will leave with an understanding of Boston's role in the American Revolution, but also how Boston has pioneered abolition, American education, and immigration. It all happened at these famous sites along the iconic red brick line. This highly interactive tour will begin at the Embrace statue, memorializing Martin Luther King, jr and his wife Coretta Scott King and conclude in the North End with the best view of the Charlestown Freedom Trail sites. Along the way you'll experience the explosive events of the American Revolution like the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre in the places they happened. Create a Mosaic in Boston Artist Studio

In this experience you’ll make your own mosaic at the SoWa Mosaics studio in the heart of Boston’s Art + Design district! SoWa Mosaics is a bright and welcoming space featuring mosaics made with homemade tiles of all shapes and sizes. Each student chooses a square board or picture frame as their base. We will spend a few minutes talking about mosaics and our unique process then you’ll get started glueing tiles and creating your own unique mosaic selecting from an abundance of our handmade colorful tiles. During the workshop we’ll be walking around to help guide and encourage your work. For smaller groups we like to sit down and create one with you too! At the end of the workshop, your mosaic will be glued and safe to take home but needs a day to get sturdy and dry completely before you can grout it. Each student goes home with a goodie bag containing grout, gloves and instructions on how to put the finishing touches on the artwork. After or before the workshop we encourage you to walk around and visit the 100+ other artists, galleries and shops here. Sundays are the most active with several other studios open and a vintage market in the basement. On Sundays in May thru October we have food trucks and outdoor markets too! Other things to note No art experience necessary. Intended for adults but appropriate for kids 10+. All ages welcome for birthday parties or private family activities. I can host 20ish people. Mobsters, mayhem and murder in Boston

The tour will take you on a scenic route through the heart of Boston, and off the beaten path to areas most tourists do not venture. The tour is an approximately 2.5 hour walk with frequent stops to sit. Omar will tell you not only about general Boston history, but the darker side of Boston's history. This includes stories about Whitey Bulger, the Boston Strangler, the Mafia and more! Stories subject to change depending on the route, every tour is different! There is mature language on this tour, similar to an R-rated movie/TV-MA show. It is not recommended for children under 12. Parental discretion is advised. Other things to note Walking shoes, water, umbrella in case of rain. Be on time, tour starts promptly at the time indicated for the consideration of other guests. This tour will take you off the beaten path and leave you with memories, a knowledge of Boston crime history and at least one funny joke. As someone who grew up here, I can also provide suggestions of local restaurants or places to visit that are hidden gems.
