The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife at this unique location, secluded amongst scots pine and birch trees with stunning views, close to the NC 500 and also right on the door step of a Corbet and a Munro for hill walking. There is a beautiful walk around the river blackwater just minutes from the cabin with falls and old bridges. Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

Eddrachillis House is a comfortable, modern home with spectacular views over Badcall Bay and its islands, two miles south of Scourie on the NC500. The house is set in 100 acres of land from shoreline to hill loch. The spacious open-plan living area contains a very well-equipped kitchen and dining area where you can dine under the stars. The cosy lounge has a wood-burning stove and patio doors onto the front terrace with stunning views. Gorgeous bathrooms and very comfortable large beds.

The centre of Dornoch and the Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a ten minute walk. The expanse of sandy beach and dunes is approximately, a fifteen minute walk. It is perfectly situated as a pit-stop for the NC500 or as a base to enjoy the hills, glens and coastline.
