El Nido—a Magnificent Victorian Home

Architectural elements like the wooden beams and whimsical shapes of the rooms inspired a Cuban approach to integrate traditional styles into the modern updates. Notice the Spanish-Moorish tiles, the charming skylights, and artisanal decor items. It's a very special home. You will feel like you are staying in a luxury spa. Every detail has been meticulously thought out; from the hangers in the bathroom to every appliance, every picture on the walls and the selection of Spanish-moorish tiles both in the bathroom and kitchen. It doesn't matter if you are staying for 3 days, for a week or for longer. The place has been purposely designed for your thorough enjoyment and extreme comfort. You have a full walking closet with capacity to hang as much clouding as you can carry and as many as 40 pairs of shoes. Of course you have top quality linens and towels as well as all the essentials for a 5-stars hotel experience. El Nido es the top unit of a former home; there are other 2 units occupied by very decent and quite families, but they have their completely separate entrances, so you will not be sharing common spaces with anyone; in fact, the entire space is at your disposal and at your disposal only, every square foot both of the apartment and of the private deck is entirely and exclusively for your use. My partner and I are avid travelers; we are AirBnB users as well; hence, we appreciate the availability of hosts as they are locals with ample knowledge of the amenities and less obvious gems of their cities. We want to let you know that we will be happy to be available as a friendly and willing source not only of problem solving, but also of information and guidance. How much interaction is for your to freely decide. Voted one of the 10 most interesting cities in the US by The Traveler magazine, Oakland is a growing area that has a wonderful selection of unique restaurants, shops, and bars. Take in the harbor views nearby and spend a fun day out on Lake Merritt. Lake Merritt Bart Station to San Francisco: Bart takes you to San Francisco (Only 2 short stops, an about 7-minutes ride, and you are in Embarcadero, the very epicenter of “the City”). It also takes you to and from both San Francisco International and Oakland International airports. While this station is only 1.2 away from the apartment, it is a good 25 minutes-walk. It is a lot easier and comfortable if you take Uber or Lift. For those of you more intrepid, there are also bikes or even those city-scooters that people leave anywhere. A major bus line runs down the Lake on Foothill Boulevard (which you catch at the intersection of 7th Ave @ Foothill, only 800 feet away). The same line brings you back one intersection over (@ E 14th). Both streets are one way, so the nearest goes down the Lake and the subsequent brings you back. Nevertheless, as we said earlier, Taxis and app-based ride services like Uber and Lyft work quite efficiently and inexpensively in our area. Nearby Stores Some popular grocery store options include: • Lucky's, a natural foods supermarket: less than half a mile • Several Chinese and Vietnamese minimarkets on International Boulevard. Ave. Great coffee, but the pies of the bakery next door are a piece of heaven

Relaxed Apartment with a Patio in The Castro

Brew a cup of coffee in a cozy kitchen with elegant tiling and find a seat on a decked patio wrapped in a leafy garden. Curl up with a book on a modern sofa in a living area boasting colorful paintings, a stocked bookcase, and exposed wood beams. The unit is a private apartment below the main house with a private entrance. There is one bedroom and a pull out queen sofa. There is room for approx four people (2 per bed) and one bathroom. The summer kitchen features a brand new quartz counter top, beautiful spanish tile backsplash, drink refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster oven (for light heating), and a full set of dishes and glass ware for pizza night at home. There is closet and shelf space for your extra goods and an iron with an ironing board. It's so close to the action it's not even funny! :-) Guests are invited to use the private patio space just outside of the guest unit. We live right upstairs so fully available to all guests during their stay and only a quick text away. The apartment occupies the remodeled lower level of a house in the historic Castro neighborhood. A vibrant nightlife and dining scene is steps away. Head to the iconic Castro Theatre to see a film or take a scenic stroll to Mission Dolores Park. The Muni is a 7 minute walk that takes you to the BART transport to the airport and downtown and financial district. Several buses that run through this area to the rest of the city. Busy area in terms of Lyft/Uber/cabs. Parking can be a bit tough at times, but we never have too much trouble finding a space a block or less from the house. The neighborhood does however, require a parking permit per day. Unfortunately, I have a limited number of passes and will not be able to offer these with the unit. Please be mindful that tickets may be given, but they are generally more sticklers about street cleaning that daily parking permits. I am currently trying to locate nightly parking facilities nearby. If you can manage here without a car, that would be best.

Classic 2BR/1BA Apt/Main Flat in House/Mission

Our flat has a classic San Francisco feel and is located in the Mission District. It is very convenient to Moscone Center and all of San Francisco's highlights. BART train and Muni buses are around the corner to whisk you anywhere you need to go. (let us know if you want insider info about how to hop on the 14R to get to Moscone - it's faster than a cab!) There is a full kitchen with dining room table, a washer and dryer, tv with cable, and free wifi. We also provide all the basic amenities.

Live like you own Church street in SF

Thanks for taking an interest in my apartment. Its perfect for one to two people although it can sleep four with the pull out bed. Years ago, it was a home movie theater. I converted it into a bedroom but kept the movie screen. There are some personal family photos in the unit only. Dresser and closet are empty. The deck is a perfect place to relax in the afternoon to take in the sunset and look onto Church street. VERY IMPORTANT! Read my pet/parking information before booking.
