Peaceful retreat to unplug and unwind. This off‑the‑grid experience has no electricity or flushing toilets, we do provide the essentials: running hot water, an outhouse, and propane lighting. Stay includes access to a handcrafted, wood‑fired hot. (Tub is still under construction. Landscaping and some final details are not finished.) Four-wheel-drive, or high-profile two-wheel drive vehicles are needed to get to the cabin. We must greet guests at arrival to show you how to use the propane lights.

Come experience sleeping in a cave without actually roughing it! Located in the back of the Hobbit, the Cave has its own private entrance under the leaf canopied patio. *Please no smoking of any kind in our home or near the door *($250 fine)* You will be greeted by a lantern hanging among the stalactites and vines and a set of stairs leading down into the cave. An indoor gas fireplace, a 50" smart TV, full kitchen, tiled shower, & queen memory foam mattress all guarantees a magical stay!

This historic stone cabin was originally part of the YWCA Camp Miramichee which was founded in 1916. It was built in the 1940s and renovated in 2019. You will feel like you are back at camp, while also enjoying the modern perks of an added bathroom in the cabin, air conditioning and internet. Come relax at Camp Miramichee Falls!

Straw Clay Cabin on a Sustainable Farm

This Earthen house is made of sand, straw and clay. Nestled in a valley it is a peaceful and unique getaway. The cabin has four comfortable single beds and electricity, a wood stove for winter. Outside a fire pit and grill. A hand washing sink inside; and port-o-let toilet outside. You may be able to drive in (weather/road condition depending). Come spend a night underground! This unique home is a rural, restful spot with friendly hosts. We are located 8 minutes from Menomonie and 20 minutes from Eau Claire on US highway 12 & 29 parallel to Interstate 94, providing easy access to the freeway. We have one private room available with one private bathroom. The bedroom includes a queen bed and a full size mattress in the loft (ladder access). The remaining spaces are shared with the host.
