We are also just a short drive to some great attractions such as: Cummins Falls State Park, Standing Stone State Park, and numerous marinas surrounding the beautiful No. 1 Houseboat Lake on the Continent, Dale Hollow.

Poplar Cove Retreat is a nature lover's paradise! Whether your interest is flowers, trees, birds, or rocks, you'll find it all in abundance. The house is located on our 80+ acre family farm where black angus cattle also reside. You may also spot deer, turkeys, and other wildlife. There are numerous bird feeders so you can enjoy birdwatching from several outdoor seating areas. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cabin is perfect to experience the remote quiet life in the country yet it is only 6 miles to the nearest town of Byrdstown TN which is absolutely charming. It still has the southern hospitality in which we all love and endure. This cabin is less than 11 miles from the prestigous Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina where there is a multitude of water activities to do including a sandy beach area at the Obey River Recreation Area.

All rooms have a view of the lake and the deck overlooks Dale Hollow. We are a mile from Wolf River Boat Dock. The suite is downstairs with a private entrance. There are walking paths that encompasses 3 acres on the property. The private deck has a fire pit for chilly mornings to enjoy coffee or relaxing evening.
