You’ll be woken by franklin and purple crested louries coming to feed at first light, followed by a cacophony of Lowveld birds including resident fish eagles. Walk down to the river, and enjoy sundowners and snacks on the rocks with spectacular sunset views to the Drakensburg mountains in the distance.

This tiny off-grid mountain cabin has a true sense of peace and calm about it. It is situated a stone's throw from Blyde River Canyon in the Northern Drakensberg and only a short drive to the Kruger Park. The views from the deck over the entire Lowveld are amazing, while the Mariepskop mountain looms over you at the back. For any activities, such as mountain hikes, safari or sightseeing trips, please contact host Marcel. Phone reception is great but there's no WiFi.

The Old Dairy

The Old Dairy is a historical renovated quaint little cottage on Diepgelegen working farm in the beautiful Magoebaskloof area. Come and experience this quaint little piece of heaven with views as far as the eye can see over the rolling mountains. Walks through the Woodbush Forest Reserve, trail runs, mountain biking and fly fishing all within meters of the cottage. This cottage is 7km off the R71, on a gravel road and requires 4x4 access.
