The Villa has 3,000 square meters of living space and equal area of protected space. It is an environmentally friendly house that uses solar energy (90% of total energy consumption), set in a rural african environment, located 20 km from Chidenguele on a hill by the lake Nhambavale, surrounded by a garden with trees and a small vegetable organic garden. The surrounding beauty provided by Nhambavale Lake and native forest provides its guests with magical moments with an unforgettable sunset.

Situated on the Eastern side of Lagoa Uembje, Shongili Lodge is reached by an 8 minute boat ride over clear, clean waters from the Mozambique town of Biléne. Or for the adventurous drivers, an hour and a half scenic 4x4 or 2x4 drive from the same town. The lodge is run completely on solar power with water sourced from a well on the grounds, This may mean a little less appliances, but also an abundance of quiet reflection.

To get to the Resort it is important to Note that a Sedan or Low Ground Clearance Vehicle is not suitable. You would need an High Road Clearance Vehicle, SUV, Bakkie, 4X4 or 2X4.

A vehicle with high clearance is required to reach Nhambavale Lodge, 4x4 is preferable.
