This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

The Shady Pine

Nestled in the forest along the shore of the Bonnechere River the Shady Pine offers a family-friendly retreat. There is a fully stocked kitchen, a barbecue, firepit and patio. The bathroom has a tub/shower. With lots of space inside to relax, read, puzzle, and play; with lots of outdoor space to ride, hike, paddle and play, the Shady Pine offers plenty of fun. There are many acres of nature to support fun, learning, and exploration.

The Guest House

Our guest house is a cozy log cabin with three floors. It is the original homesteader cabin to our property, revived and restored with care. Nestled in the Bonnechere region of Renfrew County, this magical place of solitude offers nature right outside your door. Local paintings by Ottawa Valley landscape artist Angela St. Jean displayed throughout the cabin feature lakes, rivers, and natural places and spaces that surround us.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay! ATV and Snowmobile right at the front door. Enjoy a nice canoe ride, kayak (4 single kayaks avail), SUP boards (2) or peddle boat ride. Try your luck at horseshoes, croquet or have a nap in the hammock. Lots of heritage in the area and quaint shops to visit and explore.
