Several recommended restaurants, shops, and the tourist information center are all within easy walking distance. We will provide information upon your arrival about public transportation, Fié/Völs and the Dolomites. Feel free to ask us anything! The "Piazza Fié di Sopra" is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Fié (Völs am Schlern). Until the 20th century it used to be a small village with a blacksmith, a wheels maker, a farm and an old tavern by the name of "Löwenwirt" (Lions' Inn). Its centre was formed by a small chapel with an ample garden. If you like panoramic views, the frontside of the chapel will be the place for you! Winter: South Tyrol is a skier's paradise! The Alpe di Siusi can be reached in 10 minutes by car or public transport, other nearby spots are Val Gardena and the Sella Mountains. Skating and sledging can be enjoyed at the idyllic Völser Weiher. Spring Summer: Do not miss the nearby Völser Weiher (bathing lake) and the castle Prösels. Völs is a wonderful area for hiking and mountain biking (Dolomites), for day trips the alpe di Siusi is perfect. According to "Magazin der Süddeutschen Zeitung", one eats particularly well on the Tschafonhütte and the Gostner Schwaige. We can confirm that from experience :-) Autumn: Autumn is the time of harvest and vintage. Völs has some very good "Buschenschänke" and "Völser Kuchenkastl" (Traditional Harvest Specialties) to offer. Hiking and mountain biking in September and October are possible depending on the weather!

In the flat there is plenty of space for your smart-workstation: internet is fast and reliable, accessible from every corner. We take particular care in sanitizing all the critical areas, in particular the space is sanitized by means of ozone generators. The apartment is newly restyled with a very special taste, mixing different styles in the architecture and design. It is a 2 floors apartment at the last floor of a mid 20th century building right outside the historical city center: at the first floor there are the bedrooms (a Suite and a second bedroom) the bathroom and a wardrobe room. The Suite is introduced by an elegant living area with a separè industry in glass and iron dividing it from the double bedroom with balcony and fireplace. The second bedroom has a big wardrobe with mirrors, a fine couch and twin beds to be disposed at one's will. Through an elegant white marble staircase we have access to the brand new rooftop kitchen and the wide terrace with a view on the hills sorrounding Florence and spots of the old buildings of the historic center. The apartment is entirely reserved to our guests, access to it is by the staircase or by elevator with private access to the floor. The rooftop terrace is only for our guests with sole access from inside the apartment by a staircase. At the same floor in a separate flat live the owners, always ready to help! The owner lives next door and is always available if needed. Chez Geraldine is an apartment just outside the historical center. It’s predominantly a residential district, but the cathedral, Galleria dell'Accademia, and Piazza San Marco are a 15-minute walk away. Food stores, restaurants, and bars are close by. AVAILABLE 4 BIKES (adult size) for our guests, included in the price. Please, use it with care and lock it well each and any time you leave them without custody, thank you. Please note that all logs for the hot tub and log burner are inclusive ! We are pet friendly and welcome 1 large breed or 2 smaller breeds of dog. The cottage is situated in the grounds of our own home. While it is entirely private we are on hand if you need anything and Mark can also provide private catering as a highly regarded chef sourcing the best local produce in Cornwall ! The cottage terrace opens out from the bedroom with direct access to the garden and a path which leads to an outdoor spa with wood fired hot tub, sauna, hammock, fire pit and summerhouse. We are located in the adjacent house should you need us for anything at all but offer our guests total privacy otherwise. The choice is yours ! The cottage is in a pretty rural hamlet surrounded by countryside near the market town of Launceston in the county of Cornwall. A car is needed. The cottage sleeps 2 adults in a King sized bed and up to 2 small children (under 12) on the sofa bed.

Country House on a Farm

Converted barn in 100 acres of land. A home from home crammed with books, games and toys. Easily accommodates at least 10 people comfortably. The garden, pond, woods and parking areas are all exclusively yours for the stay. We live up the lane from the barn. So you have privacy. We have chickens, ducks, Sheep and pigs on the farm. 5 mins drive from J28 of the M5. 20mins from Exeter centre. Not near any good beaches so don't choose us for a beach holiday. There is no spa or hot tub.
