The Courthouse Grade II listed with sauna & cinema

Built c.1850 this historic Grade II listed building was originally a jail & courthouse. It's recent conversion creates a unique and impressive home. Featuring 5 bedrooms (three of which have Super-King beds) and 4 bathrooms. A mix of original & replica features provide heaps of character with modern day comfort. With high ceilings, wood panelling and former cells incorporated into spacious rooms. The original walk-in safe is now a cosy sauna! What was the chapel now boasts a cinema room & bar.

With 4 bedrooms, an open plan ground floor and fantastic garden design this property is perfect for both families and groups of friends. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away with miles of golden sand to stretch the legs or simply chill. The local amenities, cafes, pubs and restaurants of the village are just steps away, whilst a hot tub and sauna can relax those aching muscles.

The Tackhouse

This is a cozy cottage with a gentle contemporary feel. It has two en-suite bedrooms with have superking size beds which can be turned into single beds (let us know prior to your arrival). The kitchen, dining area and the living room are all open plan with a wood burning stove at its centre. The terrace is part of a small enclosed garden, sunny and sheltered from the wind. Castletoun Spa (hot tub,sauna) must be booked in advance for an exclusive use, subject to availablity (£30 per day).

The cottage has a private membership for a local leisure club; facilities inc an indoor heated pool. We are a great base for lots of activities including the Farne Islands, Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle.
