Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Library and DVD collection available for your use for those indoor days. Fenced back garden for kids. Large covered deck for bikes and skis/boards. Towels and bed linen provided. The house is an 80's Lockwood, so has a certain rustic, cabin vibe. If you want ultra modern, probably best look elsewhere..
