I've always been drawn to the images of the Native Hawaiian Kauhale (Hawaiian Village). With the Kalo patches, the bananas, the placement of ulu and coconut tress. It all just communicated a feeling of health and vitality where the land and it's people were in harmony. This vision is my guiding light as I cultivate this space. We call the property Old School Hospitality because it was built from recycled materials from the old Hakalau School. Much of the house's charm comes from the unique materials used in construction.
