Our romantic windmill (1874) is just a few miles from Amsterdam in wide green fields and along a meandering river: "Gein". Easy access to the A'dam. by car, train or by bike. You have the entire windmill to yourself. Three floors, 3 bedrooms with double beds: it easily sleeps 6, a kitchen, living, 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath/shower. Bikes available + kayak. Just leave some extra money if you did use them. No need to reserve ahead. Great swimming water and small landing just in front.

De warme inrichting met zonnige serre en ruime tuin maken het de ideale plek voor ontspanning en plezier. Speel een potje volleybal of ontspan bij de haard. Verken de omgeving per fiets, kano of wandeltocht. De historische binnenstad van Oudewater ligt op steenworp afstand, met leuke terrassen en bezienswaardigheden zoals de Heksenwaag. Ook Gouda, Utrecht en Schoonhoven liggen nabij.

De oude Wagenschuur aan de rivier de Lek.

Dit prachtige vakantiehuisje was vroeger een 100 jaar oude wagenschuur, waarvan oude balkenwerk zoveel mogelijk in het zicht is gebleven. Het huisje staat op het erf van onze 400 jaar oude monumentale krukhuis boerderij, waar we wonen met onze schapen, kippen en hond. Het huisje beschikt over een eigen zitje buiten. Tegenover de boerderij zijn de uiterwaarden van de rivier de Lek met de vele leuke kleine strandjes. En op steenworp afstand ligt het gezellige zilverstadje Schoonhoven.

This old-style but fully equipped apartment on the ground floor within a nineteenth-century farmhouse is situated within the Green Heart of Holland. Rural peace and quiet is paired with easy access to the great cities of the Dutch West: Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam. Gouda, Kinderdijk and Keukenhof can also easily be reached from here. Staying ‘at home’ is very attractive too, since nothing can beat lounging in a private old orchard with old-fashioned fruit species.

The studio includes 2 bicycles, allowing you to reach the supermarket and the picturesque center of Oudewater, in about 5 minutes.
