Alternatively, there is boating on the nearby river Stour, or just enjoying a drink at one of the country pubs along its route.

The Dell - Country Holiday Let

The Dell sleeps up four guests and is located in the small village of White Colne, only 15 minutes away from the oldest recorded town in the UK, Colchester. On the Essex-Suffolk border you have a great base to explore East Anglia’s towns and attractions. This is a private annex building set in the grounds of our family home. Sudbury area is very dog friendly and you can enjoy most pubs and restaurants with your pooch. We are close to historical towns of Long melford and Lavenham. 10 minute walk to town and shops 15 minute walk to bus and train station 1-2 minute walk to restaurants 1-2 minute walk to meadows and footpaths

Gorgeous cottage set in Bures

Relax in our wonderful cottage and enjoy a glass in the garden that has been designed and created by Harry and David Rich (known as The Rich Brothers from Garden Rescue on the BBC). The cottage has parking for two cars and is located in the centre of Bures Village, a short stroll away from the train station, two public houses, local shop, church and park. Not far away you will find the famous Bures Dragon and Chapel of Stephen.
