Old Acadia Ranger Yurt at Long Pond

Newly Constructed. Old Acadia Ranger Yurt, a 25 ft. Yurt nestled in the pine and maple forest 1/4 mile from Long Pond and Acadia National Park hiking trails. New construction includes a full bath with a large walk-in shower, kitchen with gas stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dinette table w/ seating. Bedding includes, 1 Queen sized bed, 1-fold down double couch, Queen bed in loft, and 1 rollaway cot. Towels and bedding provided. Four (4) guests only (no exceptions). Pets are not permitted.

Fox’s Hollow at The Howling Woods

Our Yurt is hand made. Every log was peeled and split to create the initial lattice work. The inside is sheethed in thin plywood & painted which gives it a more homey feel than a typical rubbery tarp covered yurt. :) There is a large domed skylight at the center to let in the sunlight. You can also crank open the hexagon window to let in fresh air. Inside you’ll find a lofted double bed & extra blankets & a futon mattress for larger parties. The kitchenette is great for basic cooking.

Silver Moon at The Appleton Retreat is quite private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt features a private therapeutic hot tub on the wrap around deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. Silver Moon is located in a wooded area close to a bog that attracts a variety of wildlife. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

Glamping Near Acadia

Our private, off grid glamping experience is the perfect way to relax and unwind after exploring the nearby coast of Maine. The six acre property is located just 15 minutes from Mount Desert Island and five minutes from downtown Ellsworth, malls and amenities. The yurt and adjacent campsite comfortably sleep up to six adults. While firewood is included for the indoor cast iron wood stove, sleeping bags are a must have in the cooler months.
