The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Situated on a 600ha farm in the Swartruggens district, 2h from Sandton and 50 km from Sun City in a Malaria free area of the North West Province. Accommodation for 60 guests. Guests can go for hikes, or cycle through the premises. Game drives on open game-viewing vehicles can be arranged. The cabin has luxuries such as air conditioner, fireplace both in and outside, rock pool and jacuzzi on the edge of the cliff, open air shower and a bath overlooking the valley. Aloe Rock Cabin is well equipped with 220 v electricity, geyser, stove, microwave, gas barbeque, fridge, freezer and all the things needed for day to day catering.
