Situated in the Groenfontein Valley just outside Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo, this cottage offers a peaceful countryside stay with views of the Swartberg Mountains, minutes from the Calitzdorp wine route and Route 62. Designed for quiet evenings, warm fires, and slow days without a plan. Guests often underestimate how easily time slips by here — two nights quickly turn into a wish for a third. Whether by the fire inside or under the stars outside, this is a stay measured in days, not hours.

Lavender Cottage is at the edge of our almond and orange orchard with a view of the mountains from the stoep and braai-area. A king-sized bed overlooking the mountains can be made up as 2 3/4 beds, and a separate bedroom has two single beds. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering guests. A/C and the nearby pool keep you cool and a wood stove provides warmth in winter. Our on-site restaurant serves seasonal menus and wood-fired pizzas for dinner and pizzas, burgers and salads for lunch.

Luxury meets Karoo hospitality at Kerneelia, a quaint and secluded cottage with a wonderful mountain view on our Klein Karoo farm near De Rust. This romantic cottage is located on Doornkraal, a farm that has been in the loving hands of five generations of our Le Roux family. Come take in the fresh air and explore our farm on foot or bicycle. We also offer horseback riding, a great way to see the area and get to know our beloved horses. Included in rate: A bottle of wine, some fire wood.

This campsite is set in the bush. The sites are also fine for trailer tents and RV's. Each pitch has shade and a water point which is municipal drinking water. There are electricity points. The ablution block has hot water and flush toilets. The pool is on the site, essential for the long hot summers. We are pet friendly. During the summer you can cool off in the nearby farm dam, or go for a swim in the river at the private picnic site.
