Adventure on foot for gorgeous walks or cycle along the great network of cycle paths. Day drives to Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury, and surrounds are within easy reach. For those commuters who need access to Bristol International Airport, we are a stone's throw away (by bus or Uber).

The Beautiful Chew valley lake is 3 miles away and is ideal for walks, bird watching and fishing. Other attractions within an hours drive are stone henge, Weston Super Mare, Longleat safari Park. The perfect base for visiting the West Country.

Traditional Country Cottage

1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

The cottage are only a few minutes’ drive from places of interest like Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills. Even the famous Cotswolds are only a 30 minute drive away. With many walks to choose from directly from the cottage it is also the perfect spot for nature lovers who would like to leave the car. The cottages are a within walking distance from Keynsham trainstation (free parking close by) and the town centre with lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

Leave stress behind and relax in the grounds of a grade II listed Manor House in the heart of the beautiful Somerset countryside. You can step out of the front door into the fields. There are miles of footpaths to explore. You can enjoy Bath, a Unesco World Heritage city, its buildings, history and restaurants, visit the hustle and bustle of Bristol, explore the countless picture postcard villages, pubs and cafes or visit a range of National Trust properties. The Old Stables

The Old Stables is a unique and romantic escape situated on the edge of Avon Woods in Publow. Beautiful countryside walks, along with multiple pubs and the famous Pensford Viaduct are all on your doorstep. Located between the vibrant cities of Bristol & Bath, you can access the bars and culture of these great cities before returning to a countryside retreat. We have installed a brand new 55 inch smart tv and super fast Starlink internet making this a perfect place to relax or work.

The Old Stable, between Bath and Bristol

Half way between Bath and Bristol is our charming and cosy eighteenth century newly renovated old stable. This unique space is the perfect retreat for two in a village location with Georgian Bath six miles in one direction and vibrant Bristol six miles in the other. And when you want to escape from the delights of these very different cosmopolitan centres there are many beautiful walks here on the edge of the Cotswolds to explore, with two lovely country pubs within walking distance.

Pretty annex with kitchen and private garden

This lovely annex has its own private entrance with a small fenced garden and patio area with table and chairs. There is one ensuite kingsize bedroom (or 2 singles) and a open plan kitchen with sofa bed (more suitable for children as no separate bathroom) There is parking outside. Our beautiful hamlet is very quiet with great walks from the door. We do run a working farm so you may occasionally hear that in action. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

The Stable is a stand alone conversion - the whole property benefits from underfloor heating. It is well appointed with fully fitted kitchen, wet room and two well sized bedrooms - one double and one single. The main living area is furnished with settee and arm chair with an inviting log burner to ease those chilly nights; a dining table and chairs allows for self-contained living. The views over the Chew Valley, Pensford and Publow are stunning in all seasons.

The Robinson Building, converted Victorian factory

The Robinson building is an old paper bag factory in the heart of Bristol which has been converted into bright and modern apartments. Featuring high ceilings and windows as well as thick brick walls you really feel as though you are living in a part of local history. Situated in the vibrant Bedminster and Southville areas there is plenty to see and do on your doorstep and the center of town and harbourside are just a short walk away.
