Lil’ Kickback on Elk Creek (Eau Claire area)

Remote, tranquil, quiet and private getaway on 5.8 acres on the banks of the Elk Creek; only 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities! This creek is known as a class 1 trout stream. Guests can enjoy fishing, sight seeing, canoeing and kayaking the Chippewa River or Elk Lake, biking, hiking, atv/utv and snowmobile trails nearby as well. Enter a world of peace and calm deep in the woods. This is a beautiful rustic cabin that has been beautifully restored. Permit issued and inspected by Dunn County.

Chippewa View Heights, LLC

Just 2 minutes from Durand, this spacious property has remarkable sunrises and views of the Chippewa River area wildlife including deer, eagles, ducks and swans to name a few. Located in Pepin county, minutes away from Buffalo, Pierce and Dunn counties and trails. A perfect location for those in the area simply looking for a local place to stay and relax! Please note, no parties or events are allowed.

Water's Edge House on Tainter Lake

Gorgeous little house with cap cod feel, right on the water. We call this baby "Water's Edge on Tainter Lake". Perfect way for a quick escape from the Twin cities, only 50 minutes away. Fish off the permanent dock on the water. Beautiful views and sunsets on a fun, active recreational lake. Short boat ride to Jake's super club. Some guests say its a "private location", but we are on a very active lake with houses close by. Please read our "other details to note" for more info.

Cozy Cabin on Banks of Willow River (Burkhardt)

Our cozy cottage on the banks of the Willow River is ideally situated for enjoying the Willow River State Park experience while enjoying the comforts of home. Willow Falls is a short walk, and the main entrance is one mile from the front door. The cottage has a unique walk-in shower, luxurious tub, and full kitchen for your own use. The main master bedroom has a queen bed, barnboard walls, large windows, access to back deck & outdoor hottub. Two twin beds in front room sleep 2.

Kamshire Valley (Main Cabin)

25 minutes from Menomonie (UW-Stout), 45 minutes to Eau Claire, 1 hr 15 minutes to MN. Kamshire Valley's Main Cabin offers an abundance of wildlife viewing, an inviting large brick patio and firepit, miles of trails for snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Has 1 bedroom with Queen bed; If you need more rooms we have 2 additional rustic cabins (air, heat-no bathroom) that are available for additional $50/ cabin/night. The best nature has to offer, bring your camera!

The Main Stay on the Bluff

The Main Stay on the Bluff is a spacious 3,000 sq ft home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, thoughtfully designed to accommodate a wide range of guests. The main floor is fully handicap accessible and opens to an outdoor patio with seating and a fire pit. As part of Samakya Cabins, one of two private retreats set on 65 secluded acres, the property offers incredible bluff views, peaceful surroundings, and a truly special escape immersed in nature.

Cottage in Porcupine Valley - beautiful location

Beautiful, beautiful cabin. Nested in the middle of the Porcupine Valley, this cabin is a place for you to find rest and relaxation. Sitting on the front porch and listening to the birds is probably the best part of the cabin. Attractive flower beds, large yard, spacious interior, pond, and creek. Back porch, front porch, and upper balcony. Great for a family getaway or a low-key long weekend away from the city.

Grandpa's Place by the Nature Center

Retreat into nature, hike or bike the trails, enjoy the scenic views in the four season porch, and unwind during your nostalgic stay at Grandpa's Place. Grandpa's Place borders the 743-acre River Bend Nature Center. Spend your days exploring miles of trails, kayak the Straight River, enjoy a campfire under the stars, roast marshmallows and curl up on the couch by the fire in the four season porch.

Rustic Bluff Cabin (#2)

We have two newly constructed (September 2025), 2 bed/1 bath cozy cabins that offer the ideal blend of comfort and modern rustic charm. Nestled in the scenic Driftless region, the cabins provide a tranquil retreat for couples, small families, or friends. The open concept living space is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the area or celebrating a wedding at one of the local venues.
