The apartment is a neat, roomy, completely private basement apartment in our home in the Cherry Hill neighborhood in the town of New Paltz. It's a short walk through campus to town (about a mile) or a super-quick drive. You can also walk to the apartment from the bus station, so you can visit New Paltz without a car from the city. Take nature hikes along the Rail Trial, rent a bike, if you want. Check out the great bars and restaurants in town and walk back to the apartment.

We live a floor above the apartment, and you may hear us as we go about our daily routines. We are not excessively loud, and we quiet down at night, but we are a dog-and-kid family, and you may hear us from time to time.
There is a $60 Cleaning fee.
After 10pm, please enter and leave quietly, use your inside voices, and keep music and other sounds low.
Please do not smoke in the house or right outside the door (if you need to smoke, please take a walk).
There is an outside black garbage can for trash and blue tub for recycling.
You may use the washer and dryer in the unfinished basement, but please don't hang out in that (cluttered) space.
Well-behaved dogs are okay. Cats are only okay for short (4 days or fewer) stays, as we have allergies upstairs.
Please make sure that faucets are fully turned off, as plumbing pumps may fail if they are overused.
I grew up in New York City, but now live in New Paltz, New York. I'm a writer and a professor and a dad. I love to be outdoors and travel.
