My place is a charming cabin located near Lake Pinecrest. Rustic and quaint, it is directly across from the S. Fork of the Stanislaus River near many sledding hills and creeks to explore. Just a few miles from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and Leland Snowpark. Beardsley Reservoir and the Sonora Pass are all within a few miles. Enjoy Lake Pinecrest a mile hike or quick drive. Wake up and walk straight into national forest!

My cabin is southern-facing, with lovely spaces to lounge indoor and out. It backs up to national forest and faces the S. Fork of the Stanislaus River. Whether you like to mountain bike, hike, swim at the lake or in the many bathing holes, or indulge in snow sports--my cabin is the perfect place to call home year-round. Ideal for those wanting to unplug.
The cabin is a two-story, 4 bedroom/1 bath home situated on nearly an acre. The grounds are delightful to explore as you're in the middle of the forest as soon as you step out the door! Amazing hiking, swimming, snow sports and sledding just outside...

I'm available around the clock to answer any questions you may have. Please note that if you don't have Verizon wireless you may lose cell phone reception 10-20 minutes prior to arriving at the cabin. Wifi is available for $7/day at the Strawberry Inn, just 3 minutes walk down my street.
Welcome to my cabin!
Check in is at 3 pm and check out is at 12 pm. In some cases alternate arrangements can be made so please check with me prior...
We love the outdoors but do our best to not bring it indoors! :) Please remove your shoes before entering or keep them near the front door if it's raining or snowing outside. (There is mud in the area and the carpet stains easily!)
Please also exercise care when ascending and descending the stairs to the attic, which are narrow and carpeted so using the banister is important. Tall people want to be extra careful so they don't bonk their heads along the way! Parents will want to supervise youngsters to ensure that they use the railing and in the case of toddlers, avoid ascending the stairs on their own for added caution.
Some of the downstairs sockets get overloaded when running multiple appliances: please use the sockets provided and also please only run one space heater at a time from any given socket that's powering a surge protector (never run a space heater from a power strip).
We have a set of lovely Lodge cast iron cookware. Stews, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes--nothing cooks foods like cast iron does, but special care must be taken to protect the seasoning--please don't cook tomatoes in the cast iron or let water sit in them. (You can clean by rubbing them with table salt mixed with a dash of water or oil, then rinsing with water and allowing to dry.)
When you check out, please double bag your garbage (extra garbage bags are provided). The cleaners typically come right away to haul away garbage but we always double bag in the mountains to prevent attracting vermin.
The cabin is heated via wood fireplace--wood and fire starter sticks (no need for kindling) are provided. We also have two space heaters: one is radiant and excellent for pointing at a group as it will heat your bodies (e.g. When you're dining or sitting on the sofa). The other is a small circulating heater which will heat the air around it--good for the bedroom that does not have a mattress heater, the bathroom, etc. The cabin heats up by around 9 am in the winter but early risers will want to make a fire first thing. :)
Regarding dogs: my daughter has severe allergies so we are a pet-free property.
