"Le Petit Chalet" studio sits on a property inspired by the architectural elements of the Italian Vallée d'Aoste and the French province Haute Savoie. Property owner Dave designed and built most of the buildings on the property, which includes the main house, "Le Petit Chalet" studio, and "Le Petit Mazot" (a tiny house of sorts, inspired by the competitive mini-house building of the Haute Savoie). The property is flanked by an aspen grove and includes a water feature that rushes through the back yard in spring and summer. Together, these elements create a mini-shangra-la that provides a quiet escape for anyone looking for rest and rejuvenation.
The studio includes a full kitchen with gas stove, pots/pans, dish-ware, basics for cooking (oil, vinegar, etc.), drip coffee maker (along with coffee, tea, half & half and sugar). Pure well water comes out of the tap for drinking, and wood for the fire place is provided.
All linens and towels are provided as well as a washer/dryer unit.
In addition to the studio space, guests have access to one fully enclosed parking spot for one car and ski/equipment storage in garage below studio.
The studio has an amazing view out over the backyard water feature and out every window there are trees.

We've been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of two daughters. As the girls fly the nest to pursue world travel, college, and new vocational endeavors, we are enjoying welcoming visitors to the property where we raised our family. Dave has been a builder in Bend for over 25 years and designed and built most of the buildings on the property. A former climbing guide, he can usually be found mountain biking, hiking, or golfing when he's not busy maintaining the property. Joan is a former nurse, massage therapist and Hospice Volunteer who loves cooking, hiking, wine, and creating beautiful spaces for friends and guests to enjoy.
