You’ll love my place because of closest neighbors are over a mile away! You have unlimited privacy and complete seclusion with your own sauna!
You can paddle/ski on Sundew Pond or on near-by Pickerel Lake. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (there is a $10 per pet/per day pet fee).

There are 3 beds upstairs, 2 full and one twin. There are 2 full futons in the great room. The cabin is off grid. Solar runs the lights, cooking and refrigeration is with propane. Heating is wood and propane. There is a hand pump well for washing and sauna, drinking water comes from Ely. The bathroom is an outhouse.
This is a remote cabin that offers you complete seclusion, but is accessible by automobiles year round.

We live 40 minutes away, but will be there if needed. And will ask that you check-in between 1pm and 5pm so that we can show you how to live "off the grid" in your home away from home!

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Hospitality Management. In 2014, I completed a Master's degree in Sustainable Tourism Development from Arizona State University. My studies included internships with the Biltmore Estates in Asheville, North Carolina, The StockFarm Club in Hamilton, Montana and The Hotel Sofitel in Bloomington, Minnesota. I also studied Wine and Food Pairing at the Universitat de les illes Balears of Palma de Mallorca, Spain. In my free time I enjoy camping, fishing and hunting; some of my most treasured memories are from BWCA and Quetico canoe trips. Since moving back to my hometown of Ely, I have taken over the daily operations of my family's business, the Jasper Company and opened up Northern Grounds, a Coffee+Wine Bar in Ely's downtown.
