The house was messy with rather dirty carpets. Airbnb room and bathroom were clean, the air conditioner was noisy, and the room had no nightstand, table, or chair—just a bunk bed (not awesome, but doable). While the place was advertised as "walk to every where", in reality, the place is located 0.7 miles from the Main Street restaurants in a moderate to high crime area (which walking to downtown 0.7 miles in this area in the evening is not inviting; I chose the place so I could walk to dinner and enjoy the city). I actually felt so uncomfortable that I left the place and booked a regular hotel for the night. The hostess communicated before my arrival and probably is a nice person, but the communication fell apart once I asked for a refund since the place was not as advertised.
The person who left feedback suggesting that a place could be cleaner was spot on, but unfortunately, I fell for a replied excuse that Irma has interrupted house preparation. The house DOES need to be cleaner. Shoes scattered around, broken blinds, dirty carpets—that is not what I anticipate during my stay. I have stayed at a different Airnbn in the area and really enjoyed a clean and as-advertised place.
