My name is Erika Leopold, journalist and confectioner. My present job is news editor at a weekly. I was born in Cluj, Romamia and have been living in Budapest for fourteen years. My partner, Béla Krumpli, a freelance photo- and videographer, was born in Bp. My hobby is cooking and making pastries and we often invite our friends to taste the new dishes. The food photos of my gastro blog are taken by Béla, the most beutiful ones in the world, I think.
We travel a lot in Hungary and abroad, as we love to discover new places and meet new people. We haven't been to place that we did not like.
We love Budapest, both the good and the bad traits. Sometimes we just take a walk so as we can explore new faces of her. Budapest is a true metropolis, so she can entertain all sorts of people. She has improved a lot gastronomically in the recent years, you can find a great variety from traditional Hungarian restaurants, through refined brunch bars to restaurants with one Michelin stars. Plenty of sightseeing opportunities are awaiting for you, you can watch them from the deck of Hop-on hop-off bus, or from a cruise ship, or from of an amphibious vehicle. We can recommend you several walks in the city, tailored to your taste.
