Just a little feedback on your review.
One- I apologize for the smell in the room. I noticed it a couple of days prior to your arrival and thought maybe one of our cats may have accidentally trapped downstair and did a deep clean of the bed, mattress, floor, etc. I thought I had it taken care of so I truly apologize. The animals have never been allowed in that particular room as it was previously our guest room and we have family that are allergic.
Two- situations like the smell in your room is why I check in with my guests. I would have happily moved you to another room. My guests enjoyment of the space provided is my top priority. In the morning, I check to make sure you enjoyed your stay and see if you are in need of anything you may have forgotten (toothbrushes, razor, etc). I keep them all on hand.
As for the noise, sadly room 3 is under the kitchen upstairs. We try to be quiet but I need to replace the flooring upstairs to minimize the creaking sounds of the floor board upstairs, etc. It is on the list to do. We would happily adjust our patterns had we known the noise was an issue for you.
Hope to see you again and appreciate the honesty of your review. Next time, please let me know while you are here so I can address the issue and make your next stay more pleasant.
