I’m sorry that your stay in Loch Dochfour at the Caledonian Canal Centre did not meet your expectations.
It’s a shame you felt there was no personal contact, we do say on our Airbnb profile that our colleagues downstairs in the Caledonian Canal Centre are on hand to help our guests with any queries. In addition, our housekeeping staff are available during the day; I understand you spoke with them during your visit. That said, we are looking into providing an out of hours service should our guests require it. Our self-check-in process has proved popular with many guests and is a system that is used throughout the industry.
After much research, we have set our pricing structure in line with similar venues in the area for this time of year and will review this on a regular basis. Included in the price, we offer free wifi which guests can log into with no password required, many of our guests happily utilise this service.
As with other establishments of this kind we do ask our guests to be considerate of other guests in respect of noise levels, particularly in the evening and early mornings, we have not received any reports of this being an issue but will monitor the situation.
All guests who bring their dogs are charged an extra £10 per pet, again this is standard practice throughout the industry. As a courtesy, we offer a dog bed to all pet owners who chose to travel with their pets however, some prefer to bring their own as it is familiar to their animals.
Our Airbnb profile lists the property as a boutique room, we feel this is the best fit from the Airbnb options available and we are sorry if you feel the description was not clear.
The Caledonian Canal Centre newly opened in August, therefore we are keen to maintain high standards and improve our service in order that our guests enjoy their stay and return to visit us. Therefore, we value your feedback and the opportunity to respond to your comments.
