A quiet tranquil oasis at the lake between Mission and Harrison Hot Springs just off the Lougheed Highway.
The lake is limited to 10hp engines so is safe and quiet, however Harrison Bay boat launch is 3 minutes away where you can enjoy tubing, skiing, wakeboarding or salmon and sturgeon fishing in your boat. You can also visit the Kilby Historic Site, Chehalis River Hatchery and Weaver Creek Spawning Channel (especially during October) or other sites of interest in the area around Harrison Bay. There are fishing charters (salmon and sturgeon) available right there on the Harrison River, 2 golf courses, the Sasquatch Ski Resort (formerly Hemlock Valley Resort) as well as hiking and biking.
The lake itself provides more than enough to keep you occupied though. Whether it's swimming in the lake, using the canoe, 12' aluminum fishing boat, kayaks or paddleboat to explore, there is always something to do. Sometimes relaxing in a lounge chair or hammock in the shade of the willow trees and watching for the resident beavers, otters, osprey, canada geese or energetic trout is a more attractive option.
In the fall between September through November the salmon spawn up through the lake and into its tributaries. It's quite the natural spectacle and a wonder of nature to behold.
There is a farmer's market in Deroche (5 mins away) held every Saturday between 10am-2pm June 9th until September 22nd, 2018. There are also local activities put on by the Lake Errock Community Association that will be included in your welcome package if they apply to the duration of your stay.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms on the main floor which is level entry (no steps or stairs) which is on the same level as the main bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room. The dining room, kitchen and living room are open concept with a vaulted ceiling featuring a floor to ceiling glass wall with a view of the lake. The master bedroom with full ensuite is upstairs as well as a loft with 2 single beds. This area also enjoys the view wall out to the lake.
The lake across from the cabin is unspoiled in its natural setting and provides a beautiful forest backdrop to the days activities
A BBQ is provided for outdoor cooking adventures and the activities shed is full of lifejackets, inflatable water toys and lawn games. The water supply to the cottage is provided from a spring administered by the Fraser Valley Regional District and is the best drinking water you will ever taste.
Relax in the living room and enjoy the lake view through the floor to ceiling glass wall, or read a book, play board games, enjoy the fireplace, watch cable TV, or surf the net using WiFi. You may choose to relax in a hammock, go trout fishing on the lake, roast marshmallows over a fire by the water, or stroll through the community and meet the friendly residents, but whatever you choose to do you will not want to leave.
