Cottage 1 is our larger three bedroom which sleeps up to nine people. Being fully self contained, it means that you can make this cottage your complete home away from home!
Both of our rustic cottages were built in the 1920's and still have many of the original features. Our furnishings and facilities are not modern, instead its like taking a step back in time, similar to staying with a great aunt in the country!
Make Waitomo Farmstay and Gardens your base to explore all the adventures and sights the gorgeous Waitomo District has to reveal! We are situated on 20 fertile acres used to rear calves, and graze sheep, pigs, cattle, goats and Llama.
As part of staying at Waitomo Farmstay and Gardens you may also like to partake in our free farm tour where Narita will take you around to meet all the animals. A great opportunity to hand feed animals and have your picture taken with them!
We enjoy meeting new people and like to make our guests stay as pleasant as possible. As we are a family run business our children accompany guests on the farm tour and help mum with the animals.
Waitomo has the world famous Glow Worm Caves, which are situated only minutes from our farmstay. There are also many other things to see and do within a short car ride from us: Black Water Rafting, Abseiling, Ruakuri Native Bush Walk (with glow worms to see at night), and the Native Bird Park.
Waitomo is central to the North Island, making it a perfect base to travel to Rotorua, Tauranga, Raglan, Hamilton, Matamata, Auckland, Taupo or anywhere in between!
We are conveniently located close to state highway 37 and 3 making us easy to find, however some guests sensitive to noise may find our location to close to the main road and may prefer to book somewhere quieter.
There is a train and bus stop in both Otorohanga and Te Kuiti which are only a short drive from us. With prior arrangement we can offer a courtesy pick up/drop off option to our guests.
