This cosy little house, well equipped with all mod cons, can accommodate 2 people very comfortably-- ideal for couples, business travellers, tourists and anyone wanting to explore this beautiful city as well as relax in a special place.

A hely
This cosy little house is a real gem: private, quiet, calm—a bit of ‘country in the city’! Very well-equipped and decorated with style, it also has lots of character (it was built as an ‘atelier de couture’ in 1930). Recently completely renovated, it has a gorgeous original wood floor, but also all mod cons while its modern furniture gives it a mid-century feel. The view from the dining room (where the table can be used as a spacious desk) is over the large terrace with its many green plants. In the corner there is even a fig tree! A table with chairs outside offers the opportunity for a meal ‘en plein air’ or for an evening apéro under the pergola or in the little corner garden surrounded by flowering hydrandeas. If you feel like going out to eat in the city centre, it’s an easy walk (15 minutes) or bus ride (the stop is literally opposite), but there are also nearby restaurants, a boulangerie a short walk away and a new Carrefour City supermarket five minutes away on foot. Welcome to ‘La Petite Maison’!

- ACCOMMODATION -

Bright, spacious and fully equipped, the 70 square meters house can accommodate up to 2 people.

The house is located in Rennes, near the historic centre of Rennes.

Amenities:

- Living room: comfortable sofa, television (only via Google Chromecast), coffee table, dining table.
- Kitchen: refrigerator, freezer, microwave, oven, hob, kettle, dishwasher, blender, cooking utensils, Nespresso coffee machine.
- Bedroom: double bed, storage space.
- Bathroom: shower cabin, sink, mirror, WC, towel rack.
- Separate WC.
- Baby friendly: high chair and travel cot provided.

Note: Baby bedding (linens, sheets and blanket) are not provided.

Outside:

- Small garden with terrace and new garden furniture.

Plus: hair dryer, DVD player, tumble dryer, ironing set, fan, washing machine and baby friendly.

Included: Wifi, hotel quality linen and towels, vanity kits, coffee capsules.

- GUEST ACCESS -

The accommodation is on the ground floor. You will be given a set of keys on your arrival.

IMPORTANT: The house is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

- NEIGHBORHOOD -

This cosy little house is tucked away and really peaceful, but a supermarket and local restaurants are just a short walk away. There is also the beautiful ‘secret’ Park Obertur just to the north east as well as the botanical garden (the Jardin Thabor) a little further away to the north west. The city centre (with plenty of restaurants and lots of shops) is an easy 14 minute walk to the west (you can also get there by walking through the Jardin Thabor—highly recommended and very pretty!) There is free outdoor exercise equipment just outside the property both west and east on Aristide Briand (a rowing machine, a step machine, a stationary bicycle…), and across the street is a bus stop (‘Robidou’) for buses into the city centre and to ‘Republique’, where you can change for the train station (via bus or metro) or the airport (via another bus).

Places to go & things to do:

- Park Oberthur, a beautiful ‘secret’ park: go east on Aristide Briand, turn left on Jean Malo, then right on Jeanne d’Arc and left after less than 80 metres into the park (5 minutes walk).
- Quai de Rennes, 10 minutes walk.
- The Park Thabor (Jardin des Plantes) 15 minutes walk.
- Place de Bretagne, 20 minutes walk.
- Place des Lices, 14 minutes by bus.
- Halles Martenot, 15 minutes by bus.
- Rennes market, 15 minutes by bus.
- The Musée de Beaux Arts.
- The Musée de Bretagne in Champs Libre (near the train station).

Recommended restaurants & the local supermarket:

- Carrefour City Supermarket, a 6 minute walk east on Sergent Maginot (across the street from Aristide Briand)—this supermarket should have everything you need!
- Boulangerie-- a 5 minute walk to the west on Aristide Briand, then turn left at the pharmacie on the corner of Châteaudun and cross over the bridge onto Boulevard René Laennec; the bakery will be a few shops down on your right.
- There is also a nice pizza restaurant: Basilic & Co at 2, Boulevard René Laennec
- Thai restaurant/take away, just around the corner from ‘La Petite Maison’ on Rue Jean Malo
- Burgers and Sandwiches at a new little restaurant east on Aristide Briand at number 113, a 5 minute walk
- Monsieur Joe, a block and a half west on Arisitide Briand towards the city centre (popular with students)
- Pizza Hut is east on Sergent Maginot on the corner past Carrefour City Supermarket.

- TRANSPORT -

- The parking is not free on Avenue Aristide Briand in front of the house but you can park for free on Boulevard Jeanne d’Arc.
- Bus stop "Robidou", in front of the house, to go to the city center or to the airport take the bus in the direction of République.
- Gare de Rennes: take the bus to République then take the bus or metro to the train station.
