Call of the Bluff is a beautifully restored farmhouse set up on a hill overlooking Keuka Lake. Just 5 minutes from Hammondsport and with a view up Keuka lake all the way to the bluff, you`ll love the view from this home!

Call of the Bluff is an old farmhouse from the early 1900`s but has been recently completey renovated and remodeled. The furnishings are new with that farmhouse feel that is so comfortable and you`ll find touches of `wine country` all through the house...from the outdoor chairs made of wine staves, to the bar stools in the kitchen and the beautiful towel racks and sink cabinets made from wine barrels.

The house has a large covered deck on the back, facing towards the views of the lake. There is a grill for cooking up some delicious burgers, an outdoor dining set, a couple of chairs for enjoying a glass of wine and a hammock to lounge in with your favorite book. The yard is huge with room for a game of flag football or tag. A great place to let the kids run! There is a firepit close to the deck for you to roast your smores at during the long summer evenings.

The main entry is on the side of the house, close to the parking area. The parking area is large with a big circle driveway attached...plenty of room for parking.
Walking in from the main entry, you`ll come into the fully furnished kitchen with stainless appliances. The kitchen has an eat-in bar area as well as a coffee bar. The large windows in front of the sink face toward the lake, making dishes a pleasure rather than a chore! There is a set of sliding patio doors from the kitchen out onto the deck and the grill is set up close to these doors...just a few steps from the kitchen prep area.

Just off of the kitchen, between the kitchen and the Dining room, is the first floor full bath. This bathroom has beautiful towels racks, mirrors, and a vanity made from wine barrels and has a tub/shower.

From the kitchen, you`ll walk into the Dining Room which has a large farmhouse table. Between the Dining Room and the Living room, there is a large open window, which allows the Living Room to feel open to the rest of the house. At the opening between the Dining Room and Living Room, there is a bar with bar stools for additional eating area and also a great spot to pull up a bar stool and enjoy a drink while watching a game on the big screen TV in the Living Room.

The Living Room has a large sectional and an entertainment center made out of barn wood with a large TV. There is a set of patio doors in the Living Room that go out onto the back deck, making entertainment a smooth transition from indoors to the outdoors.

The second story steps are in the corner of the Living Room and go up into a hallway. Bedroom 1 is straight ahead and is large with a Queen size bed and plenty of floor room. Follow the hallway to the right and Bedroom 2 is on the left and has 2 twins. Following the hallway around to the right and you`ll enter the Master bedroom. The Master bedroom is very large with several closets, a King bed, patio doors out onto a large balcony and access to the second floor full bath. This full bath can be accessed by door from the Master bedroom but also has a doorway to the hallway which allows it to be used as a Master bathroom or to be used as a shared bathroom for the other bedrooms. The balcony has a superb view of the lake valley below and you can see the whole way up the lake to the point of the Bluff.

We do allow for one pet dog at this home, one well mannered, house trained dog under 50#. There is an additional pet fee of $50 that will need to be added to your stay. We are not able to allow for other pets such as cats, birds, etc.

Call of the Bluff is located right along a main county road and is easily accessible with only 5 minutes to Hammondsport and 15 minutes to Watkins Glen. The house sits in a rural area though and you`ll love to watch the wildlife and the deer or the small foxes that roam in the meadow below the house. With such a gorgeous view and close proximity to the lake and town, you`re going to love staying at Call of the Bluff!

When you rent this home, you are renting a private residence or secondary home, a very personal experience. Our homeowners have furnished and decorated this home to their taste and comfort.

**We ask that renters to be over the age of 25. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with the request that the renting party is over the age of 25.
**No parties allowed at any time.
**Smoking prohibited except in outdoor areas.
**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times. No Exceptions. Only 7 guests allowed at any time.
**Parking for 4 vehicles.
**One dog allowed per guest stay. Must be 50# or less and well trained.

We are a husband and wife vacation rental management team from the Finger Lakes and we are excited to have you book your vacations with us and with our our hospitality company, Linger Hospitality.

Our heart really belongs here, we think it is one of the most beautiful spots in the country. We are raising our brood of 4 children here, on a small farmette that currently is home to two crazy Weimeraners and a flock of chickens. We live, overlooking one of the lakes, and because we get to watch the sun rise and set over the lake day in and day out, we know that you will love it just as much as we do! We love the culture of our communities here and are excited to be part of the community through our vacation rental business. We have watched these small towns grow to support the up and coming food, wine, and beer industries that are a huge part of what makes the Finger Lakes special, as well as the laid back lake culture, and anticipate a wonderful future serving our guests that come through this region to enjoy all of these and more.
