Lovely, upstairs bedroom in 1890 home is surrounded by dogwood, redbud, maple and walnut trees. On the edge of town in SW Richmond, the property has a park-like setting with corn fields and countryside just around the corner. Approximately 1/2 mile to Earlham College; Earlham School of Religion and Bethany Theological Seminary are just under a mile away.
One of the original homes on the Pike, there are beautiful hardwood floors and 9 ft ceilings throughout. Guest bedroom is upstairs, as is the shared large bathroom with tub and shower. Guest bed is full-sized. Wifi throughout, basic cable in the front room, driveway parking, AC in the summer!
Friendly and well-traveled hosts have been transplanted here from Oregon and have a long history of welcoming guests! Guests are welcome to join us in the fireside room for after-dinner conversation.
Bedroom and Parlor area available for guest use, as well as dining room if staying for breakfast.
The bed is an antique, full-size wood framed bed. There is not an option for a second bed at the moment. Sorry!
You may rest, enjoy the area, walk to and from Earlham College, access the Cardinal Greenway Trail close-by, attend community and Earlham events. No smoking, parties or pets, please.
Married nearly 32 years, Colin and I are Quakers transplanted from Newberg, Oregon. We nurture body and spirit through nature and the outdoors--running, gardening, backpacking--good books, good people and locally grown food. Our desire is to live sustainably on the earth, find joy in relationships and belong to an authentic community. Our hope is to offer a warm welcome to travelers!
