Situated in Akkoy Mountain Village which is 11 kms from Urgup, Akköy Evleri is in the historical district of Cappadocia and regional attractions include Ortahisar Castle, Rose Valley, and Sunset Point. Additional regional attractions include Goreme National Park and Red Valley. Akkoy Evleri Caves offers two types of accommodation, Cave Hotel and Cave Houses. The hotel contains 14 cave rooms as well as a Carved Restaurant with authentic fireplaces to keep the place warm in all seasons. The quality of the cave rooms makes one feel cool in the summer and warm in the winter. All rooms have the signature curves, texture, cupboards, arches and characteristic decoration of the region. Akkoy Evleri Caves kitchen provides meals that are prepared from fresh ingredients every day by the owner Mehmet’s family and staff. Ingredients are locally produced and organically grown. Our cave houses are rented by groups and families on a longer term basis. They are masterpieces in masonry and woodwork displaying the best of local craftsmen’s talents.

The quality of the cave rooms make you feel cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Volcanic rock called "tuffa" is perfect insulation material. It keeps the temperature between 17 - 20 degrees Celsius throughout the year. All rooms are different from each other in their size, shape and qualities.
Each of the cave rooms have the signature curves, texture, cupboards, fireplaces, arches and decorations characteristic of the region but also the villagers local civil architecture.
All rooms are traditionally decorated with cotton covers, carpets, kilims, wooden furniture and fixtures that were locally produced. The house has hot water, wooden and stone floors, luxurious bedding and IDD telephone service.
This is an Anatolian village and a surviving rural hamlet with an active agricultural community. Thus our guests should be respectful of the locals, their culture and dress and behaviour code.
