A peaceful retreat awaits you in the trees just outside of West Asheville's "locals" downtown! Walkable to Haywood Rd and all our excellent neighborhood restaurants, art and yoga studios, farmers market and pubs. Note: Our house is in a dense suburban residential neighborhood and not outside of town. We have neighbors on all sides but we are lucky that our house is in an urban forest that affords privacy.
The studio apartment is below the main house which has its own entrance and outdoor space. Our family lives above and we are very respectful of your privacy. The studio is SMALL one room space (12x15) but well equipped with a hot plate, under counter fridge, small table and 2 chairs and a queen size bed. You have your own small bathroom with 3x3 shower and toilet. Bathroom sink is in kitchenette. A laundry room is right next door and is also available.
If you are looking for an unique space that is peaceful and quiet but part of a vibrant creative community you will enjoy staying with us and we will enjoy hosting you!
West Asheville is the best! Quiet and neighborly, it's not like downtown Asheville with hotels and so many tourists but you can get there or the parkway or the Biltmore very quickly by car. Downtown, five minutes, everywhere else, ten minutes. We have our own downtown in West Asheville and there's many excellent restaurants and music venues within walking or biking distance.

This treehouse was built via an episode of The Treehouse Guys, on the DIY network which aired August of 2017! Just as exciting as an hour TV show, we were also featured in an HGTV & Travel Channel Facebook video which has been viewed more than 10 million times! Not to mention, local TV and print news.
Treehouses of Serenity is located in north Asheville, just 10 short minutes from downtown. The treehouse offers 2 decks, one off of the main level facing west for the ultimate sunset viewing, and one off the bedroom to enjoy the sun rising with a warm cup of coffee. The main level consists of a cozy living area, kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, two burner hot plate), and bathroom with conventional toilet, stoned floored shower with rain head. Upstairs you will fall asleep while gazing at the stars through 2 triangle windows high in the treehouse peak. There is a double bed made up with high quality sheets and pillows for your comfort. Two adults can comfortably sleep in the double bed. The fold-out style couch on the main level would ideally sleep one adult or 2 small children.
Other features that you will find when visiting the treehouse; antique furnishings, red oak floors, 2 wall mounted mini split units for heat and air, TV with Netflix and an Amazon Fire stick (no cable), WIFI, coffee, tea and electric outdoor grill.
The treehouse is built on an 8-acre parcel, 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. The property is within easy driving distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and the local visitor center. The area is wooded, but you will hear some road noise in the distance.
We are excited to be expanding! In addition to this treehouse, we are currently building 4 additional treehouses, as well as an underground hobbit-like home. All of these new units will be available in early 2020, if not before.

The artist/owner built cottage is a quiet sanctuary located to downtown, the Biltmore Estate, West Asheville shops, an incredible bakery and restaurants. Enjoy handmade pottery, local art, all cotton bedding and fresh eggs within this adorable Moroccan-influenced getaway.

Whist is a very cool paper goods and many cute things store on Haywood a few blocks from the house.
Two cats, Rue (gray) and Gingko (black) live on the property and sometimes wander around the cottage door looking for an ear scratch. Chickens also live on the south side of the property. Cats and dogs live in my house- the blue one.
This neighborhood of mostly bungalows is friendly, low key, just within walking distance to Haywood Road's restaurants and Carrier Park. Places like The Admiral, Owl Bakery, Hole Donuts, Taco Billy and Bim Beri Bon are all above average.

Come enjoy seclusion and mountain views in this sweet little off grid cabin tucked back in the woods of our 125 acre private gated mountain top escape near Pisgah National Forest. Hike 150 yards down a flat gravel road to get to the cabin for a retreat from your normal day to day life. Disconnect and enjoy the mountain view, nature and solitude. Bring your dogs. Bring a book and lounge in the hammock. Enjoy the simpler things.
This off grid cabin is located on 125 acres of private land that is gated and backs up to Pisgah National Forest. It is 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and to the top of Mount Pisgah. It is close to all of our favorite hiking spots and swimming holes on the Blue Ridge Parkway! An easy 25 minute drive to Asheville and all of it's amazing food and breweries. The cabin is 100% off the grid: that means solar panels for limited electricity needs, propane heaters help keep the cabin cozy during the winter, and an outdoor shower area. Bring your own bedding and towels. Enjoy our 3 burner propane cook top for cooking, granite countertops, a sink with a water dispenser for drinking water, board games and a very comfortable queen size bed. Lounge in the giant hammock under the trees.
We provide a solar shower (5 gallon camping shower bag) that can be heated in the sun and used year around (mind you the shower is outside so plan accordingly with weather). In the summer months we have a heated rain water collection shower that we try to keep up and running. It is temperamental so we keep the solar shower as our primary shower and consider it a bonus if the rain water shower is functioning! We also provide a list of other places to shower if you are staying for a longer period of time and crave a long shower or it is too cold t shower outdoors.
The cabin has mountain views through the trees and is tucked back in the woods on a flat gravel road that you will have to walk on to get to the house. You will stop and park near the out house. We provide a wagon to help get your things to the cabin. The outhouse is about 150 yards from the cabin with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out through the tree tops...definitely the best view you have ever seen from an outhouse! The outhouse is cleaned out weekly on Mondays sometime between 8-11 am by a service truck.
Our Goal Zero solar generator provides limited electricity to run the solar lights inside the cabin. If it has been cloudy, then the solar generator may not get charged enough to run the lights. We try to keep lanterns and flashlights around as back ups...but it's best if you bring along your own incase the solar generator runs out of power. We do have a back up solar generator that we keep charged in case it stays cloudy for days so please let us know if you need it.
During the winter, the space is heated with a propane heater and can stay pretty warm. If they are calling for below freezing temperatures, I would recommend bringing extra blankets or warm sleeping bags.
Bring some wood and make s'mores in our fire pit!
Bring a cooler for your perishables since we do not have a fridge.
We love all dogs of any size and welcome them to come on vacation with you! They will need to be left in crates if left indoors while you are out adventuring in town. We prefer they don't get on our furniture. Bring dog beds along for them. We are happy to be able to provide a dog friendly space since we too are dog owners and lovers....we just request you clean up after them, relocate their poops to the woods, and be sure to sweep up their extra dog hair before you leave.
Our mountain top escape is at the foot of Mount Pisgah and backs up to Pisgah National Forest. The roads are steep, but amazingly paved and engineered. This property was originally intended to be a housing development, but we have purchased it and put it into a Forestry Management Program with EcoForesters. Future plans include a trail system. We have one other Airbnb on this property but they are very far away from each other.

Please read the HOUSE RULES before booking. Most importantly, we only have parking for ONE CAR per unit, and only allow two people maximum per unit, no exceptions! (If you have an extra car you'll have to leave it in a parking garage downtown.)
This private apartment is the ground floor of our our cozy gated home at the end of one lane gravel road. We live in the little house in the backyard. In front of our house is the Crown Plaza golf course and mountain bike trail.
The apartment is fully furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with a full fridge, microwave, four-burner stove & oven, a coffee maker, a toaster and a blender. It includes Wireless Internet, off street parking for one car, and complimentary coffee and tea. All linens and towels provided. We also provide shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner so you don't have to pack these bulky items! And yes, there is a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board!
Electric heating with two separate thermostats keeps the apartment at an optimal comfortable temperature in winter. A window air conditioner unit is provided in the summer months.
The bathroom has a custom-tiled double shower with glass doors, underfloor heating (great for keeping your toes warm!) and plenty of storage for your toiletries.
The apartment is not suitable for children as it is not childproofed. The bed is a queen size.
We are surrounded by trees and wild spaces, which makes it perfect for the wildlife that live here. We have raccoons, opossums, red foxes, woodchucks, chipmunks, squirrels and the occasional coyote. Our bird-friendly yard is home to over 20 different species of birds including a resident pair of red-shouldered hawks and a screech owl family.
Our house is only 45 minutes away from the Cataloochee valley in the Smoky Mountains National Park. The valley is known for its elk and black bear population. The east side of the Smokies is great as it is less touristy than further west. It is a great place for a day trip!

SuperhostThe main interior room is bright, well-insulated, and quiet. The Rad Pad measures a roomy 600 square feet, with milk-stained wood ceilings and exposed beams. Refresh under a rain-head shower, with seafoam penny tiles underfoot and subway tiles covering the walls in the luxurious bathroom. The bed is a comfy cloud like experience, with memory foam topper, memory foam pillows, and cozy down comforter. Take in Asheville's lovely weather on your own private outdoor seating area. The Rad Pad is designed to be extra comfortable, relaxing and zen.
The Rad pad is one huge studio open space with milk stained wood ceiling and large exposed beams. The shower is floor to ceiling subway tile with a rain shower head. There are concrete floors throughout. The kitchenette has coffee maker, electric tea pot, hot plate, pots and pans, utensils, knives, cutting board, plates, silver ware, wine glasses, coffee cups, mini fridge and toaster oven. The bathroom has two specific areas, a shower area with sink and nice table for toiletries and another space with the toilet and another sink, with drawers for clothing or toiletries. The bed is a super comfy queen with memory foam pillows and down comforter. There's a memory foam topper on the mattress, that makes your sleep time extra comfortable. We also provide slippers and robes for our guests to relax in. There's a smart TV, and there's amazon prime along with some local channels and some TV+ channels. If it's nice out, please enjoy the front porch of your pad and the provided chairs & table, too!
West Asheville is where most of the city's artists live, as well as an eclectic mix of other vibrant people. This is a middle-class neighborhood, with a touch of grit and a whole lot of revival. It's also very walkable, with many fine restaurants. The neighborhood is surrounded on one side by the river arts district and by west asheville proper on the other. We are 6 blocks from Carrier Park & the French Broad River Greenway. Downtown is a quick less than 10 minute drive away.

Ground Rooms (Orient toward the front of the house):
Right room: 2 single beds, 1 Queen Bed (maximum 4 people)

There is also a queen sized-pullout couch that can fit 2 people in the living room area on the 2nd story that we will provide as complimentary.
There is a half bathroom next to the living room, so it sort of acts as its own room.
Guests must sign a contract prior to booking that is with the retreat-house organization and independent of Airbnb.
The internet connection works well but the house is in the mountains, so higher bandwidth activities can sometimes load slowly.

SuperhostA beautiful one-hundred year old Richard Sharp Smith historic home in Montford neighborhood. 3 blocks from the center of town, 5-15 minute walk to everything. Hot tub, high speed wi-fi and cable tv, outdoor spaces for relaxation, gourmet kitchen.
You will be staying in the "Blue Room". This is downstairs next to the "Green Room". Those two rooms share the Mauve bathroom. This home is a quick 5 minute walk from the center of downtown. This historic neighborhood is peaceful, yet only a short walk to all the fun activities downtown. Fantastic restaurants nearby, the Pritchard Park drum circle, the US Cellular Center, and St. Lawrence Basilica are only three blocks away. We are a 5 minute drive from UNCA.. You won't need to move your car once you are settled in, unless you decide to go to the Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village, 10 minutes away. Easy access to the Blue Ridge parkway, NC Arboretum, Folk Art Center and much more!
I love the beautiful old historic homes in this Montford neighborhood. My house dates from circa 1910, termed a "Victorian cottage", and built by Richard Sharp Smith. Many of the homes in the neighborhood date from the 1880's. This Victorian neighborhood was the first suburb of Asheville. It is very quiet and friendly. Lots of beautiful walking opportunities around the neighborhood.

Beautiful custom built space!! Tastefully decorated, first class accommodations on the mountain overlooking Asheville. THOROUGHLY cleaned between each guest, leaving the space feeling fresh and inviting. Exposed rock wall opposite original outside wall; just a couple of the details that give this listing a unique and comfortable feel. Beautiful mountain views above with city lights below. This charming space is a short five minutes and $5 Uber ride from downtown Asheville yet feels worlds away.

I like to think I live on Asheville's best kept secret! It's quiet, has beautiful views and is close to everything. Depending on which way you go down the mountain you are truly not far from wherever you're headed. You can be downtown in minutes to enjoy all the excitement Asheville has to offer and then retire home in the evening for a quiet peaceful night. You also have easy access to 240 to get to your next hike. I wouldn't want to call anywhere else home!

“Dorothy's place is an absolute gem! It's up in the hills in a quiet neighborhood, but only a quick 5-7 minute drive from downtown and a 2 minute drive from a grocery store. The unit is spacious was incredibly comfortable for us (two plus our pup). The care and effort put into the space is super impressive. There is a queen sized bed, full size fridge and sink, a coffee maker with coffee/cream/sugar, tea, a microwave, and toaster oven. There's also a cute little sitting room with a tv and sofa. Further, the bathroom is a comfortable size with plenty of space for two. Dorothy has a board of recommendations for travelers, along with a map with pins to keep track of where her guests are from. Lots of space on this double lot on our small mountain leaves you feeling away from it all even though you're merely minutes from downtown. We are super convenient to grocery stores and tons of restaurants. Very open layout with beautiful archways and a unique rock wall add both charm and class. SuperhostWelcome to our horse sanctuary. This tiny house is located on our horse rescue farm in Asheville North Carolina. The tiny house comes with a hot tub, a queen bed, a single bed, a full shower with hot water, a real flush toilet, heating and air-conditioning, plus a small kitchenette. Feel free to feed the horses and interact with the barn cat, Zach. We are located about 15 minutes to downtown Asheville, and 10 minutes to West Asheville and the River Arts District.
When you book this listing you are supporting a local hospitality business that pays its cleaners, maintenance staff, and customer service staff like me a living wage. We are locals of Asheville and your patronage goes to support the horse farm and our employees.
This tiny house was custom built to support up to three people. There is a loft bed that is a queen size, and another bed on the other wall that is a full-size. We of course provide towels, linens, soap, and shampoo. A lot of tiny houses have a composting toilet, however ours is hooked up to sewer and is fully functional. We have hot water in the shower and a kitchenette to make small meals. We usually have coffee available. The hot tub is behind the privacy fence and is only for guests of the tiny house. We ask that you shower before using the hot tub. We regularly treat and maintain the cleanliness of the water.
We are within a few miles of a grocery store and several good restaurants in Asheville. To get to downtown Asheville is about a 15 minute drive, and it’s about 10 minutes to the very popular West Asheville. Uber is readily available at this location. A tiny house is located on our 10 acre horse farm with other properties that are set up as short term rentals.

Beautiful private and spacious 1500 square foot top floor of my home overlooking Beaver Lake and only minutes to downtown.
This two bedroom, two bath apartment includes a family room with a coffee station and limited kitchenette, a separate yoga room, covered and screened porch as well as full sized washer and dryer.
It is great for large groups, but not for parties, staying up all night, or loud late nights. Downtown is great for fun and hanging out and then hit the comfy beds here!
We are in North Asheville over looking Beaver Lake, just minutes to downtown but there are also great restaurants and groceries right in the neighborhood.
You have easy access to walking around the lake which has a bird sanctuary as well. If you do choose to walk around the lake a permit for dogs is required on the far shore, I provide one in the drawer at the coffee station.

The walk-out basement apartment is light and bright; each of its 4 rooms offers various views of mountains, forest, and the Swannanoa River. Glass doors in your living room and kitchen open to decks and the hot tub - for your use alone. The hosts live upstairs and are available if requested, but otherwise honor your privacy.
Enter via the kitchen door with a keypad lock. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, and dinnerware and glasses/stemware (both indoor & outdoor). A dining table for two offers a great place for breakfast or a spot to plan your day.
The living room features a comfy couch and other seating, and a 42” HDTV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, PBS, and YouTube TV, which offers network affiliates, cable news, and many sports channels.
The huge bedroom opens to the living room via a wide doorway (see photos), and offers a super comfy king-size bed with side tables and lamps on both sides. The dressing area features a dresser, mirror, and plenty of outlets, as well as a large closet with iron and ironing board.
In the hall, you’ll find shelves full of books, puzzles, games, brochures on Asheville, and apartment safety equipment.
The bath features a window with mountain views, a 4x3-ft. shower with complimentary Tea Tree Oil shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and sink with a large vanity. You’ll find extra towels, a hair dryer, and first aid kit under the sink, and plenty of wall shelves for your things. Great vanity lighting, outlets, and an automatic night light.
On the decks just outside your kitchen and living room doors is a private deck with chairs and side tables. The hot tub sits on its own deck just a few steps down from the kitchen door. The view from the decks is of mountains (Lane Pinnacle figures prominently), the Swannanoa River below, and wooded slopes.
We live in a beautifully wooded and quiet family neighborhood one mile outside the Asheville city limits. The neighborhood is bordered by the Swannanoa River. We are a short drive to parks, attractions, breweries, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Asheville. Please drive 20 mph or slower in our neighborhood. There are lots of blind curves and often pedestrians in the road, as there are no sidewalks.

The two studios on the first and third floors, each has its own driveway and parking, one has no stairs and the other only has 4. Perfect for two people or groups that like to travel together but desire some privacy as well.
Not a place to party late, rather to relax after exploring and having fun.
Each studio has a very limited kitchenette with a dining table, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig with supplies, plates, utensils and glasses. The first level has two hot plates with assorted pots and pans as well. There is no sink, I provide a bin to put dirty dishes in and can refresh your stock as needed.
The lower studio is light and airy, the upper has rich wood tones and block out blinds for those who like that.
I provide an abundance of amenities (as outlined in the photo captions), but if you find you need something I can normally make it happen!
Each studio has its own driveway and parking and well as private decks with seating.
The third level has a fenced area that is great for pets! It does have 4 steps, two up and two down each way as you go from the driveway to the private entrance.
If you are planning to hang out and make noise after 10pm, the lower studio is the place for that.
Beautiful area for walks, 1.5 miles to downtown with Dining and Shopping, 3 miles to Biltmore Village and the entrance to Biltmore Estate, 3.9 miles to Blue Ridge National Heritage Area.

This listing isn't anything fancy, but we make it available as a low-priced AirBnB option to travelers who aren't seeking any bells and whistles. This room has a queen bed, couch, desk with chair, mini-fridge and a TV with a Roku to watch your own Netflix or Prime Video. We have keypad-operated deadbolt locks on our entry door for convenience. Our home is in an awesome, scenic, and convenient location: we are a short 15-minute drive from downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the Biltmore House, 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 5 minutes from Interstate 26. If you'd like to mix up town life with the natural world you will find Zen Tubing is only a couple of minutes from the house. An easy float down the French Broad River is lovely. The Arboretum is also only a couple of minutes from home, as is the Blue Ridge Parkway - always beautiful to have a glass of wine up at one of the overlooks (also only moments from home).
Our guesthouse is in the Bent Creek Neighborhood, a residential neighborhood. The community park, a 5 min walk away, has a great space for kids (and adults) to play with a pump track, playground, tons of open green space, and the park links you directly into Bent Creek Forest and Pisgah Forest. We are only a couple of minutes from the Arboreteum, from put-ins for canoeing and tubing, and from the parkway.

Mimi's Cottage is in the Kenilworth section of Asheville. It is a quiet, walkable community with wonderful neighbors. The area is located in the middle of the city but has the feel of living in the country. It is a five minute drive to Mission Hospital while also only five minutes from the Biltmore Estate. Downtown Asheville is ten minutes away.

Kenilworth is a neighborhood favored by walkers and bikers, The streets are calm with little or no traffic while the guests often encountered well kept gardens. Occasionally, a flock of turkeys may also be seen.

Sunny, open studio apartment in great location, 10 minutes from downtown Asheville and just around the corner from the Blue Ridge Parkway. With a microwave, toaster oven and local coffee (no stove due to city permitting regulations), our apartment is perfect for individuals, couples and small families.
**Please note there is a 2' high metal trough shower and gravel pad steps leading to the apartment that may be a challenge for someone with mobility issues.
Our apartment is a perfect little getaway for singles, couples and small families. We are a family living above with young children and do our best to keep our noise down, especially in the morning.
Guests have a private entrance and off-street parking for up to two vehicles. Our home is on the Asheville Municipal golf course, which makes this a great walking neighborhood. Our location is close to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Being on the east side of town gives you easy access to visit beautiful Black Mountain, as well.
We are about a mile or so from Highland Brewing and less than 5 miles from the Biltmore Estate.
We live in a friendly neighborhood that is great for walking - especially if you like hills.

We often have kids (baby goats) too. Come for the fabulous hiking, the award winning restaurants, and a little goat therapy too.
Contemporary studio apartment, suitable for one person or a couple (queen bed) Living Area with smart TV and wireless internet provided, bedroom area with very comfortable queen size bed (all linens provided), fully stocked kitchen large dorm size refrigerator and separate small freezer, bathroom with SMALL shower. 7 miles or 10 minutes from downtown Asheville in east Asheville. 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and awesome hiking spots. We are situated in a 3-home private eco-community in the mountains right outside the city (Asheville). We have small dairy goats, vegetable gardens and live a quiet sustainable country life with Asheville's nightlife, restaurants, theaters, and fantastic hiking only a short 10 minute drive away. Studio apartment is very private with separate parking and private patio overlooking trees, goats pastures, and cow pastures.
We are in the country outside Asheville (but only 7 miles)-- buses don't run out here so it's important to have your own transportation.
Note: If you are an extra large person you probably will not be comfortable here because the shower is quite small.
We don’t use cable TV anymore but have endless entertainment on the smart TV— we have subscriptions for Netflix and HuluPlus and Amazon Video for both movies and TV shows.
We have a laundry area available for guest use next to the apartment.
We have self-check-in and instant booking available.
IMPORTANT: We have a lovely sweet labrador retriever, who is a rambunctious and very friendly and two cats. If you are afraid of dogs or don't like them, you should probably consider something else. Animals are NOT permitted in the studio apartment.
Also, the goat area is fenced in with high voltage electric wire to keep predators out. Inside the goats pen, feel free to play with the goats! They are very friendly.

SuperhostCharming describes The Little Cabin in the Woods. Pets are welcome as long as you clean up after them. There is a $25 fee per pet which will be invoiced after the booking. Relax at this little haven nestled in the trees offering peace and quiet. Conveniently located to the airport, parks, the Arboretum, Asheville, Hendersonville, Sierra Nevada Brewing, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore House. The cabin is the perfect place to rest for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers.
The cabin is 12x20 feet but feels pretty spacious. The kitchen is well equipped but there is no regular oven. There is a convection countertop oven, a microwave, and a hotplate. Everything feels quite comfortable. The one caveat is that if you have knee problems, be aware that the steps are pretty steep to the loft and you can not fully stand up in the loft. Things are compact but there is a full shower. You sense you are way out in the country, but the cabin is only about 1/3 of a mile from the major thoroughfare, Hwy 25, which goes to Asheville and Hendersonville.
You feel quite secluded in the cabin. It sits behind my log cabin but is tucked away and with the trees is hardly visible. The area is not a typical neighborhood. There is my log cabin up the hill; a farmhouse with chickens that is not visible at all,however, the chickens sometimes come over for a visit; and a small house (again barely visible) and about 250' feet away. You tryly feel removed from the hubbub of the city.

If you would like to plug in after your have unplugged, we have a 40" TV connected to Roku and hi-def Bluetooth soundbar and high-speed WiFi so you can relax and watch Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Sling TV or whatever other subscriptions you may have.
The suite has a kitchenette stocked with tea, locally roasted coffee beans, a grinder and Bonavita coffee machine. We also have a microwave, electric water kettle and mini-fridge. The city of Asheville forbids providing a stove.
The suite is pet-free and cleaned meticulously after each guest. You have your own environmental controls -- A/C and heater.
You will have your own parking spot and private access to your suite via an outdoor staircase and stone path.
This is a walk-out private basement suite. There is insulation between the floors, and the door to our place is locked. You'll likely hear occasional footfall, but nothing loud or disruptive.

This is a beautiful, new private suite with your own entry, large private bath, bedroom and den area. It is super convenient and only 5-15 minutes to most Asheville destinations. Hike extensive trails from the house without getting in your car! Your hike or bike to the Blue Ridge Parkway is only about 15 minutes. This is a premium space and is new, modern and super clean. The Biltmore House, downtown and most attractions are only about 10 mins away. Please read house manual before booking.
This space is super cozy, comfortable and quiet. It is basically a separate condo, attached to the house. It is super private with your own keyed entrance, private bath with large step in shower, breakfast nook area and TV. Our location is very unique. It is not walking distance to downtown Asheville, but you pay for that in congestion, traffic and noise if that is what you are seeking. Here, you will only be minutes away from all the "action" as well as restaurants, movies and shopping. Now it is Christmas Lights and candle light at the Biltmore. We are just a few minutes away. One of Asheville's "must see" events.
Please note, no smoking is allowed on premises.
Also note that although there are some kitchen amenities like fridge and microwave, coffee pot and tea pot etc. there is no kitchen sink. This is per city ordinance and I was required to take the sink out to get a permit. We are working on this and trying to get the rules changed.
Our neighborhood is comprised of nice ranch homes. It is next to the last on a cul-de-sac so it is very quiet with mainly only neighborhood traffic. We have great neighbors and have occasional neighborhood cookouts and things like that.

Located between UNCA and Merrimon Ave. Bike or Uber to downtown. Walk to restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
We also have an electric car charging station for your use, just give us heads up if you need it.
This bungalow also includes use of the upper porch area. This is a very large space with large table for dining and two very large couches with two coffee table. Tables also functions great as a work space. Floor cushions are also available in this area. The porch has electricity for your plugins. Details are listed in house manual.
Pennywise Coffee, Green Sage Cafe, Zen Sushi, Vinnies Italian, Urban Burrito, CVS Pharmacy, The Hop Ice Cream Cafe are a few places located just down the block on Merrimon. Two block walk or more is the restaurant Avenue M, Asheville Pizza and Brewing Co (they are have a movie theater where you can drink and eat while you watch a movie), Whit Frozen Custard, The Scarlet Bee (one of my new favs), HomeGrown and Luella’s Bar-B-Que (good southern food). Ingles, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s Are just a few places 1 mile radius from our home.
Botanical Gardens at Asheville a .8 of a mile walk (great location to sit on rocks in the stream and read a book) also a picnic.
Asheville has some of the best food that you will find anywhere. Most restaurants are “Farm to Table”. Also nearby towns like Weaverville and Black Mountain have a lot going on.
Downtown Asheville. So close, just a tad over 2 miles. Lots to do.
My favorite thing to do is go to the Drumming Circle” at Pritchard Park downtown and then go to the free concerts that are held on the 3rd Friday of month May to September 2019. May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20. Check out online for band line up. Beer and Wine are available for purchase. Will have to show ID and by 2 dollar wristband. Local beers are available on tap. Also, another free fun event is Shindig on the Green. This is held at Pack Square on Saturday’s starting in the evenings at 7-10pm. Dates for performances are July 6, 13, 20, and 27 (2019). August 10, 17, 24, 31 (2019). Check out web to see who is playing. Also, love “5 Walnut Wine Bar”. Fun atmosphere with live music. LaZoom Tours, Plays, Orange Peel, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, U.S. Cellular Center, Asheville Music Hall are all available for information online. A must for all is a visit to the Chocolate Lounge.
Another free event is the “Montfort Music and Arts Festival. Located on Montfort Ave. Saturday, May 18 10am-7pm (2019)
UNCA Tailgate market is a short walk. Opens on “Saturday’s” from 8am-12pm.
Runs from April 6-November 23 for the 2019 season.
Beaver Lake and The Bird Sanctuary just over a mile.
Grove Park Inn is just over a mile, as well.
BreweryTours (look online for booking) are usually a great way to hit the local breweries. Also if you are interested in doing the tours on your own look at Asheville Ale Trails for maps.
The Biltmore, Biltmore Village Shops are just under 5 miles. Just 11 mins usually by car.
WNC nature center is a fabulous place to tour with kids or adults. Everyday 10am-5pm. Check out web for additional info on cost.
Zip line Adventures along with rafting are very close. Whitewater tours etc... are amongst some of the adventures to encounter.
The NC Arboretum at bent creek is really great hiking. Check out the Calendar of Events for more information.
Trails, hiking, biking, waterfalls what more can I say. Information is available online for resources that are close or within a short drive.

Peruse the ornaments and furniture from around the world that fill this unique space in a laid-back, walkable area. The flat is accessed through a serene, private garden, a lovely spot to sip local coffee in the morning serenaded by birdsong.
This fun and brand new space was designed with comfort in mind. The living area has 2 comfy chairs, a coffee table adorned with beautiful books and a small dining table. Although the kitchenette is small it has every thing you need to cook a meal from an induction burner to a toaster oven. Can't decide if you want espresso? A french press? A one cup Keurig? Have them all! There is also cinnamon and nutmeg for sprinkling. I provide yummy snacks like popcorn with black truffle salt, filtered cucumber water in the fridge, lime infused ice cubes (perfect for gin and tonics) complimentary beverages and light breakfast. This space is exclusive to our guests so open the drawers and cupboards, we are sure you will find what you need. The bathroom is appointed with a full medicine cabinet, organic bath products, hairdryer and a hot towel warmer for makeup removal. The bedroom has a queen bed with a pillow top, pillow covers, Allergin mattress cover and high quality linens. There is no shortage of blankets or pillows! Bedroom also has a smart tv with Netflix, a writing desk with a printer for our business travelers and a cozy sitting nook. The nightstands are stocked and there are nightlights to help you find your way in the dark. There are blinds and darkening shades, as well as a sound machine for blissful sleep. In the closet there is a fan, full length mirror, iron, ironing board, hand sanitizer, games and plush robes. There is a guidebook filled with all of our favorite local joints and free maps for you to take as you navigate our lovely little city.Our goal is for our guests to leave happier and more relaxed than when they arrived.
Beautiful north Asheville is a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of the historic Grove Park Inn for a drink in front of one of the great fireplaces or on the veranda. Make the short walk to the local brewery and popular restaurants.

Come stay in my spacious and beautifully designed tiny cottage in the trees! Wake to windows full of sky and songbirds. I had this quaint and cozy cabin built by a company specializing in small home design. Their craftsmanship is unparalleled! It is nestled in the trees above a small ravine and sits in the backyard of my house. It is small (288 sq ft downstairs, 100 upstairs and a 100 sq. ft. deck) but has the feel of something bigger with high ceilings and an open concept and loft. It is close to downtown, the Biltmore, and Blue Ridge Parkway but feels like a quiet get away. This space is meant for two people and is for adults only. Absolutely no pets, smoking, vaping or parties. Please respect the no pets policy as there are folks highly allergic to even hypoallergenic pets. Thank you!
